Publisher's summary
"This is no time for ease and comfort. It is time to dare and endure."
Through years of trials, tribulations, and struggles, Earth 2.0 has become the shining beacon of hope for all measure of beings; travelers, scientists, and refugees alike, as they travel the stars in search of adventure or a new home. For the most part, these visitors add to the collective growth of the original colonists, introducing cultural variations, customs, and values and a fresh perspective on life. The colonies expand, families are formed and exploration opens new doors.
However, not all visitors simply come in peace with goodwill in mind.
Finn must now face some of the darkest hours of his life.
The struggle to forge a meaningful life alongside prehistoric behemoths is one thing, but how does one fight against an overwhelming force of tyrannical beings lacking any morals or sense of honor? When the colonies are invaded and they are betrayed from within their own ranks, he must stand ready to put everything on the line or risk losing everything and everyone he has come to know as family.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Story
Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

“When there's no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth." It started as an isolated outbreak of a mysterious illness in the wake of a minor natural disaster in central New Jersey. The first reports of illness occurred within hours of exposure, the first deaths followed a short time later but it wasn’t until the second day that the first of the dead started to rise. By the end of the weekend the illness had burnt its way across the globe as containment efforts failed. Garrett Newton was just about to start a new chapter in his life after a combat injury ended his military ...

It has been a year since the initial outbreak of an infection resulting from a failed terrorist attack. No corner of the globe was spared. Millions simply died during the early days of the outbreak, many more survived with most of those survivors turned into permanently brain-damaged feral creatures. All forms of modern society had collapsed, governments no longer functioned, and electric lights and running water become a thing of the past. A handful of survivors with natural immunity to the virus are alone in a world that now belongs to the infected. Hunter Ashcroft, a wounded vet of the ...

Virtual voice ruins this book
Good story but just like the first book is ruined by virtual voice. Inflections wrong, mispronounced words. Don’t think I’ll listen to anymore virtual voice books.

Enjoyed this book
I've actually enjoyed this book as well as four others by this author. All the books I've listened to were read by a Virtual reader with only a few pronunciation that were read a little off, but nothing that really distracted from the story and kept me thouroughly captivated.
Interesting to me that the virtual reader sounded very much like one if my favorite readers, Luke Daniel. This was the case in every one of S.Ganley's books I've listened to.
This author writes stories that I very much enjoyed and I look forward to any other books by him.
