Publisher's summary

A love only a fairy tale can design...

Lady Delilah Everly hasn't led the charmed life some might believe. Evil didn't even begin to describe her mother or how she treated those she was supposed to love. It hardened Delilah to love and she learned early to depend on herself and started to gain the skills necessary to survive on her own.

Marrok Palmer, the Duke of Wolfton can't fathom the turn his life has taken. To protect his sister he was forced to take his father's life. The previous duke was not a good man, but having a hand in his death is destroying Marrok.

Both Marrok and Delilah both go on a journey. Through a fate neither could have imagined they cross paths. In their travels they must learn to lean on each other. Along the way they discover the possibility of an eternal love, but only if they're willing to take a leap of faith and accept each other faults and all.

Hate to love.

I've been waiting for this book since these characters showed up in his sisters book. to be honest Delilah wasnt one of my favorite characters when I first met her. Now I'm in love with this girl. the character development was amazing. Delilah is a whole new person to me after reading this. This story was a great addition to the series, and I cant wait for the next. The narrator did an amazing job with the voices.

Eternally My Duke

Lady Delilah is not what she appears on the outside. Life has made her into that person. She really is a good person, but her mothers actions have made her keep everyone at a distance. Marrok the duke of Wolfton is not quite what he seems either. A chance meeting at inn throws the pair together long enough for fate to cut in. Great narration.

Sweet romance

Two people who never knew love whose parents didn't know how to love are pushed together to marry. Neither want this so they run, but it seems life has it's own plans and puts them at each other time and time again. This was really a nice sweet romance where nature gives them little choice but to spend time together. They see a side of the other they would have never have thought would be there.

The narrator did a good job delivering the story, giving emotion to the characters her male voices were just as nice as her female ones, There were no repeating of words, no background noise and no volume changes. She really bought the story to life making you feel like you were there.

I do hope there will be more of this series. I really have enjoyed it.

Second Impressions

I genuinely liked the couple at the heart of this story. Unfortunately, we don't get to see their initial meet-cute, which could have been delicious fun—and only learn early in the book how it was intentionally disastrous. The heroine has long been her mother's pawn, so she rebels in every way possible. This includes being very rude to the hero in their first meeting because her mother and his father were trying to orchestrate a marriage between them. They meet again not long after while she's on the run after her mother has insisted she marry an older and disgusting (to her) man. The hero happens upon her on the road, and despite their past, he desires to protect her from the possible evils of being a lone female on the road. So, this is a forced proximity romance, and I thought it was charmingly done. They get to know each other while she tends to him. He comes to understand there is much more to her than meets the eye or what he had experienced before. It was fun to watch them come to fully know and then appreciate each other. An exceedingly enjoyable listen.

Short, but not sweet

There was a good story here, but everything was so rapid, there was no opportunity to appreciate the characters.
The heroine was so different from the first time she was introduced, that it would have been nice to unwind her behavior.
The wicked mother thread resolved so quickly, that if you coughed, you miss it. For such a terrible mother/villainess, it might have been great to have some well deserved retribution ( especially when she was the terrible mother to Ryan in the previous novel).
At least for a bad book it took very little time to finish it and move on, so for that I thank the author.
