London's burning

A great fire has swept through the heart of the city, destroying everything in its path, the living, the dead, and the undead alike. And yet, protected by the impenetrable walls of the Tower of London, a handful of people have somehow survived. Now, they must strike out if they want to stay alive.

They’re going to have to risk everything to get out of this hellish place, then risk it all again to reach Ledsey Cross, a fabled safe haven hundreds of miles away.

Every step will be fraught with danger. There will be no shortcuts, and no easy options. To stand any chance of a future, the group will have to trek through the harshest of winters, across a land ruled by the undead.

The final book in a standalone trilogy set in the nightmare world of David Moody's international best-selling Autumn novels—the original epic British zombie saga.

finally

Love stories of survival.... This groupd had gone through a lot and most finally made it. The only thing with such stoires and there will be those who won't make it (an not of their own doing) That was disheartening... so be prepared. I was like... after all that !!!!But enjoyed the story even the shocking end (kept going back to the story to get a clue but i cannot remember) I guess I have to reread and enjoy thi story again.

If you like walking dead stories and survival sotries this wil be a good and long one (NOTE the zobies are different than the one we watch)

A great ending

~Disclaimer: I received a free audiobook copy of this book.~

David Moody is always good at showing the trauma and variety of reactions to the zombie apocalypse. The changing undead, weather and the unpredictability of humanity leads to a read that is compelling.

If you’ve read the previous books there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn’t finish. Given the ending, I’m hopeful for more about this crew; either in a short story or a spin-off.

Aubrey Parsons delivers good narration with solid characterization.

I want more

I just finished this series and I am sad. I want more. Great action from the start. Lots of twists. Highly recommended.

Among the Best the Zombie Genre Has to Offer

The survivors have escaped the unimaginable horror of a corpse-filled London, but can anywhere be safe when the dead are walking?

I love stories that feature characters simply trying to survive their seemingly unsurvivable circumstances. In Book 3, the few lucky people to have made it out of London now cross the entirety of England toward what they hope will be a safe haven. They still face many harrowing trials–from both humans and zombies.. Moody keeps the tension and action–and the truly terrifying nature of what hordes of walking, unthinking corpses can do–right up to the very end. The entire trilogy is a tour-de-force from Moody.

Aubrey Parsons finishes this series with an outstanding narration performance. All the feelings will be had with Parsons’ superlative voice-acting. My American ears greatly enjoyed the multitude of accents and the emotions they conveyed.

Highly recommended.

its ok I guess

I wasn't able to get book 1, so I missed the whole basis of the next 2 books. I thought it was pretty boring, and there were too many characters for me to keep everyone straight. The narrator wasn't too bad
