Publisher's summary

Evan Lennox is going nowhere fast.

She's living with her grandparents after her parents bailed on her, she got kicked out of her posh private school, her ex-boyfriend proved to be the biggest sleaze imaginable, her former best friend is a back-stabber, and her current best friend is stuck in backwoods New Jersey. To top it all off, one teeny, tiny fire she lit to burn some memories of her ex goes a little out of control and winds up igniting a good piece of a very powerful family's pecan orchard.

Evan lands her pampered behind in court and gets sentenced to community service. Which she knows she deserves. But the hard labor and humiliation may be her undoing.

Until she meets Winchester Youngblood on the site.

Everything about him is tricky, confusing, not at all what it seems, and so sexy, Evan can't resist pulling closer. But every step she takes to get to know him gives her more of a reason to back up and put him as far out of her life as she possibly can. Because Winch is 100 percent complicated, and Evan isn't looking for that. At all. She needs to meet a nice, responsible guy, not share searing kisses with the charming hustler she met after they both got sentenced in court.

But Winch is so much more than what he seems, and Evan finds out that she's falling hard for the guy everyone underestimates and writes off. And Winch realizes that Evan is the one person who's ever challenged him to ask for more out of his life, and her courage inspires him to try to be the person she sees when she looks at him. With every single odd stacked against them, Evan and Winch need to find out whether they have what it takes to fall for each other.

Mature YA/ New Adult Romance genre

I enjoyed this book. The characters were easy to get to know. You learn to either love them or dislike them immediately. It is an easy read that has complicated and true to life problems. I enjoyed the journey the characters took, the choices they made, how they worked out issues and watching them grow. Winch is the typical "hot" bad boy, he is smart and loving but also a little closed off and he is everything that Evan swears she needs to avoid. Evan is a beautiful, smart and witty young lady and is just what Winch needs, but he knows that those close to him will never accept her and so he tries to stay away from her. They are assigned to the same community service duties, so it is nearly impossible to fight their fierce attraction to each other. (There are most definitely some pretty "steamy" very adult scenes.) Winch has to decide between loyalty to his relentless family or his true love. This was a fun read and I would recommend it to others!

Amazing story poor performance

Liz Reindhardt's words are so beautiful. She is such an amazing author. The narrators don't give this book justice. Thier accents and voices are so much more mature than the characters I felt a disconnect which was so sad because the words that were spoken were so beautiful.

One of my faves but the narration was off

This book is so perfect and I’ve read it several times, but the narrators did NOT fit the characters for me at all :(

Hoping for a book about Remy

meh book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

i would say that this book was a time killer. It was not a binge read. I had to force myself to keep going. If you have lots of time, on an airplane or in traffic, then it's ok, still not great.

Any additional comments?

I was really excited for this book, it was not what i expected. i kept an open mind, but it was just so meh. There wasn't enough information given early in the book to draw me in. You get little bread crumbs all the way up to the second half and they aren't intriguing crumbs. narrators switch every other chapter, it doesn't give the reader time to make a connection to either character. i had to force myself to finish the book and i still don't know what happened. I wouldn't say this book was good or bad, just middle of the road.
