About this listen

For over 30 years, there has been no word or sign of the Zaltule. The Zaltule are the warrior caste of the Kleese and the most dangerous race in existence. In a battle that nearly destroyed the solar system, the Zaltule were driven from human space. Now, they are back and more deadly than ever. If they are not stopped, the humans and their allies will be destroyed or forced into slavery.

Thomas Nelson is a corporal in the Marines. For years, his family has been one of the leaders in protecting the human race and leading the fight against the Kleese and the Zaltule. Now, it is his turn to do what his uncle and father have done. Find a way to save the human race from destruction.

Admiral Kelly has come up with a daring plan to end the Zaltule, once and for all. It’s up to Thomas and his Marines to accomplish the impossible. If they fail, it will be the end of everything.

Massive battles erupt across space as the Zaltule return. Fear encompasses the Alliance as they see their worst nightmare become a reality. Led by the humans, a desperate mission is launched to save everyone from destruction. Unfortunately, the mission has little chance of success.

But even a small chance of success is better than none...

good sci-fi space opera

this is why I think sci-fi is the best genre. Even when you know this is impossible the possibilities pull you in and keep you there

Excellent!

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

My only complaint is that the Kleece reaction to the near destruction of the warrior cast & their banishment. I wonder if there will be one more book.

Fantastic

I found this series a lot of fun and adventure. It was so skillfully crafted that I could visualize in my mind the events as they took place. I enjoyed it immensely. I hope to see more stories like this in the future!

spectacular end to another chapter in the Galactic Empire Wars!

This instalment had a bit more depth than some of his other novels in the series. I was surprised a couple times even. Raymond is always my favorite for fleet battles in space!

Narrator much better

They finally got the narrator speed correct, I predict that the speed of narrator in the other books was increased in the editing and production booth after the narrator completed reading it.

30 years later and we still suck? doesn't add up.

lack luster ending compared to last book. the alliance should had way more than 1000 ships for the final battle. type 7 or 9 battle suits with no real improvement described. why bother? . same boring I'm working with a hot chick traing/ romance I found my self skipping chapters.
