About this listen

The Iron Prince will claim his crown.

Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting.

After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived.

Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers. Squaring off with some of the best Users in the Astra System, they're going to have to put everything they have—as individuals and as a team—into their coming fights if they want to ultimately end up standing at the top. As ever, though, their journey is hardly bound to be a smooth one.

Especially not when Rei and Aria begin to suspect that Shido may be even more formidable than it appears, much less as the powerful entities who've already taken notice of the 'Iron Prince of Galens' begin to make their moves, some casting their hands in his favor, others very much against…

Great Story, Annoying Accent Changes

Fantastic story. I can't wait for the next one. the narrator was extremely annoying. He changed up everyone's accents, and it was quite frustrating.

I believe this is a fantastic book!

I keep seeing the reviews that this book is only okay after listening to it for 4 hours or something. well you didn't give the whole 20 some odd hours a chance. the only thing I was really wished the book would've leaned into was a plot point was essentially teased in the beginning, and didn't really interacted with until the very end. I am addicted when it comes to audiobooks. over 300+ audiobooks in my collection with most of them listened to at least twice or more. that does not mention that fact that I have read even more books when I was younger. this book hooked me. of course this performance was amazing as well. Luke Daniels is one of my very favorite narrators. I highly recommend this book and series if you are a lit-rpg fan. this series has joined my top 10 books read or listened to. fantastic job.

Sci-Fi Gladitorial School

Ok, ok, here's the deal: if you've watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, this series has nothing to do with it. I bring it up just because this book has the greatest redemption arc since Prince Zuko.

If you haven't watched Avatar, either go do it, or just take me at my word that this series is awesome.

it was really good

most of the criticism is way overhyped I think there are a few problems later on in the book with the voices of some of the characters but that's the only criticism I've seen that actually agree with and even then it's a minor issue the beginning of the book can be a little bit long-winded maybe but it's still not bad but we're all individuals we only have our own opinion and I suggest getting it yourself I'm making your own opinion

Awesome sequel to the setup of the first book

I absolutely loved this one, it kept the pace strong of the first book and is going places I'm very much looking forward to for the third.

Wow.

So to give you an idea, I currently have 400ish audiobooks.

Many litrpg, cultivation, etc.

The first book was insane. I loved it. I listened to it SIX times since it came out. Now I have this one. I have a strong feeling that this one will get worn out as well.

The plot neatly ties in everything from the first book, gives plenty of action, and still many more open threads. We get a better sense of the universe as a whole as well as the importance of what is happening.

This. Book. Is. Great.

Narration is, as always, on point.

The story is definitely clear and easy to follow with enough foreshadowing to really keep you anticipating the next arc without actually spilling it.

Fantastic read

Really well written, this is definitely Bryce’s best cast of characters and the pacing of the story makes it a no-doubt page turner. Well done mate!

My complaint

I wish there was more to read. Having to wait another year or more for more of this story is torture

i just started and am already done

This book was amazing! I have reread the iron prince, the first book of the series, more times than I can count so I was super stoked and anxious for this one to come out, and man was it worth it. Fire and song is a lot more fast paced than book one, getting a lot more action and events in than I was initially expecting and kept me on the edge of my seat, in some cases literally, throughout the entire book. There was a ton more character development and growth as well which was amazing, and we finally are starting to see a true bigger picture of what's coming on the horizon. I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of sci-fi books but this has quickly become one of my favorite books and series. needless to say this book is a must read! I cannot wait for book three!
