Publisher's summary

If adventure has a name...it must be Lady India Rochester. The intrepid archaeologist possesses a sharp blade and an even sharper knack for uncovering history’s forgotten women. Unfortunately, she has one annoying weakness: the dangerously handsome duke of Ravenwood. Former best friend. Current enemy. And the man who dared to break her heart.

Daniel Bonds, the duke of Ravenwood, is a thrill-seeking antiquities hunter who only plays by one rule: Never fall in love. He’s in it for the fortune and glory. At least that’s what he wants the world to think. He’s sworn to hide his tangled web of secrets, especially from the one woman he cares about and will protect at any cost.

But when a priceless relic is stolen from the British Museum, the rivals must align forces. Racing to recover the stolen antiquity and avert an international disaster? All in a day’s work. Avoiding their buried feelings? More and more impossible. For love is about to become the greatest treasure of all.

The grand adventure begins...now!

Finally a book with an interesting plot

Liked that this book had a plot instead of two characters endlessly seeking a romance. The dialogue was interesting and kept me listening instead of skipping over hours of inner thoughts leading up to a sex scene. My first Lenora Bell novel. I plan to read more from this author.

Funny, strong heroine

This book is quite funny. Lots of references to Indiana Jones a d James Bond. It shows how one event can not only change our life but also those around us. Indy has truly earned her name Lady Danger. She is unafraid. I thought it was poignant that they had the same dreams but were afraid to share them.

Very Engaging Story.

So much of the story told through dialogue between Indie (h) and Raven (H)... well done!!

Hot chemistry!

Just finished listening and ready to start it again from the beginning.

Beverly Crick, narrator, has been an acquired taste for me. I liked her narration.

Worth the credit.

I prefer romance

I was excited by the story idea but disappointed that this is mostly about the sexual attraction, and acts, between the two main characters with bits of the story thrown in here and there. Not really any romance, just lots of sexual attraction and release. The story itself was good though so, very early in the book, I started skipping through the self reflections, inner thoughts as to what they wanted to do to each other as well as the actual sex to get to the action part. Trust me, I have nothing against sex, I just don't want to read or hear the graphic details at such length.

All around annoying

The narrator makes the heroine sound like a fusty old woman. Her voice is high pitched and she tries too hard to be cute. There was no chemistry between the characters as the heroine was constantly trying to “anything you can do I can do better” the poor guy.
I quit about an hour into the book.
