Publisher's summary

After losing his wife and his honor, Ridmark Arban the Gray Knight set out to stop the return of the malevolent Frostborn.

He failed.

Now, the gates of ruin have been thrown open, and the Frostborn and their armies threaten to overthrow the High Kingdom.

The saga continues!

Book ten was another great one! I’ve been waiting for this one to come out and am so happy that it hit the spot! Brad Wills‘ narration amplified the listeners experience and really brings the characters to life. His tone and flow is so effortless and really embodies the main character. I liked the family dynamics of this book and the sense of dedication to ones honor. A great listen and I would absolutely recommend.

The book I've been waiting for

Still a very good story that's kept me going to the next books. Some repetitive phrases & dialog, which is mildly annoying and distracting, but I endured. I'm getting used to this narrator, but the unnecessary rolling Rs still gets me.

. FINALLY, the most irritating character dies!! I'm still shocked Ridmark could've had real feelings for that mean, cantankerous B.

Narrator is a try-hard

...and falls short of being entertaining. I am committed to the series, but the narrator cannot keep me focused without a conscious effort on my part.
