Publisher's summary
He is smart, handsome, and cold heart.
As one of the best hedge fund managers in town, He prides himself on putting in long hours to make the company’s Clientele as rich as possible.
Even though since his divorce a year ago, he’s been trying to balance his duties as a parent and with his manipulative ex-wife.
The last thing he has time for is a love life.
I’m the newest upstart hired in at the company and incredibly unlucky in love, seemingly always choosing the wrong men.
When I meet him, we are immediately drawn to one another’s competitive energy.
It doesn’t take long before that energy explodes into an intense physical relationship.
But I am holding onto a secret past of my life. My former celebrity status haunts me and my abusive ex-boyfriend stalks me.
I’m on the verge of losing the very thing I worked so hard for.
I hope he will be my savior.
Can I hope to make the relationship work with so much baggage between us…

Story
Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Great easy story
Easy listening loved the story but characters need more depth. AI narration takes away from the listeners experience

AI narration does not work
the story was ok but the AI narrator made it seem like this steamy romance novel was being read by an elementary school teacher. (no offense to teachers). it just didn't work

okay story
Absolutely did not like the electronic narration! Found it very difficult to keep the characters straight because the voice didn't change at all. Pronunciation isn't well developed, either. For instance, resume' (res-oo-may) came out as resume and 9-11 (reference to planes into the twin towers) came out as "nine to eleven.
Keep the real narrators and skip the AI!

Great story!
The story was beautiful and fast paced, enjoyed it very much. The audio being artificially created was hard to enjoy though…. Monotoned and creepy. Lol

Entertaining
An entertaining, engaging and sweet romance. I enjoyed going on this journey with these characters. The virtual voice was not good at all. I believe it took away from the story.

mild spice read by your mother's friends from church cringe
Narration was extremely cringe to listen to, voice doesn't match what's going on.
the characters are lackluster. Story attempted to have a plot then forgot what it was so an out of sorts spicy scene could pop up.
The guy wasn't really grumpy and being a single dad was an afterthought of the story.

virtual voice flattens the story
the virtual voice does not allow for expression and change of voices for characters...may be a great story but it cannot be when read this wzy...spend the few bucks and get a live performer to read so your characters can come to life
