Simple hacks

Would you listen to Hacking University: Freshman Edition again? Why?

This book is totally awesome in a special kind of way because it teaches you how to hack with ease. There are great tips in here and great concepts in which only here you will learn them.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hacking University: Freshman Edition?

What I like most here is history of hacking with its beginning from Roman Empire. We have a heap of examples that teach us how hackers can work (and how to protect ourselves against hackers).

What does Mark Jonathan Charles bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The author provides the necessary basic knowledge, explains the secrets and strategies of hacking security systems, gives a fairly good practical examples.

Any additional comments?

Each topic is very well explained for you to understand it. Been in the IT field for sometime, I am always looking for a better understanding of how it all works. After starting to read this book, I decided to get some training toward cert. I found this book way more helpful and on point than the training class that I took.

Boring

I am half way through the book and have only heard a list of terms such as "VPN" with no detailed explanation. Writer may be knowledgeable but presentation is similar to fictional grammar school teacher.
