Liked the book until he diminished OCPD

I generally liked his take on self help but I think he may lack some experience in actually dealing with patients.
He started diminishing OCPD by saying that it's just someone who is "finicky" where as OCD is different and is a serious disorder that is a legitimate cause of anxiety.
Coming from someone who has suffered from OCPD for decades, I can tell you the anxiety that arises from someone moving things around in your room, or from being super late to finish a task or email because it's not "right" yet, is very real and debilitating sometimes. To the point where I need to take an Ativan to stop obsessing over my thoughts. OCPD is as real as a disorder as OCD, they are just different from each other. At least he got that right.

Love this

I am going through some learning on how to deal with anxiety that was hiding within me and Covid brought out making my life dark.... this book has giving me more hope and knowledge... i am not a pill taker and try pills and made me worse than better so I am trying to get healthy in a more natural way. This book had open myself to get better and I will share with those around me that are also suffering from anxiety including my wife. Wish you had in Spanish I’ll be a great book for my sister suffering anxiety but can’t speak the language. Thank you

very easy read

I really enjoyed listening to this. makes you realize that you really arent crazy. a lot of helpful tips. definately a must read for mature audiences with anxiety.

Lighten the Anxiety Load

This book is a great intro to understanding anxiety but isn’t super in-depth. This is to be expected since it’s such a short book and is perfect for someone looking for a way to find out if they want to delve deeper into the world of self help. It’s also more like listening to a podcast which was enjoyable for me but may not be some peoples cup of tea. Overall I think it’s a good intro to self help for readers who want a better understanding of anxiety, coping exercises, and some humor to lighten the load.

Looking for something to the point & not boring?

If you are looking for something that is straight forward and too the point and NOT boring... this is the book for you. It doesn't give you pointless information that you're not interested in. It gives you just what you need.

This book was short and sweet and to the point. My big take away from this was the breathing exercise (4,7,8). I have used this multiple times in the last week and it is truly a miracle for me. It reduces the anxious feeling in my chest within minutes!
