About this listen

Elizabeth Fairfield is a powerful book witch with a lofty legacy to uphold. Much to her chagrin, that legacy has mainly involved caring for the family’s enchanted house, Dark Hollow, and their sanctuary for animal companions.

When Elizabeth finally stretches her wings and visits an old friend in Salem, Massachusetts, her trip takes a dark turn. A prestigious psychic has been found dead under puzzling circumstances and Hex Support, the secret division within the Federal Bureau of Magic, once again leans on the Fairfield witches by calling upon Elizabeth for help.

Thankfully it isn’t all gruesome puzzle-solving for the book witch. During the investigation, she crosses paths with Nathan, a werewolf with the body of a gym rat and the brains of a professor. Suddenly Elizabeth finds herself wanting to explore more than just his books...until the evidence points to him.

Will Elizabeth experience her first taste of failure and let a killer go free, or will she rise to the challenge and prove herself worthy of the Fairfield name?

Elizabeth finally get her chance to break free !

I thought that this was a great second book. it was fun had its little bit of romance and lots of mystery. I loved that it was set in Salem. I do wish that it would have touched more on maybe some of Salem around it, but it was still great to read. it wasn't too heavy and flowed very very nicely. I'm looking forward to getting the third book

I am on book binge! I finished the first episode yesterday and the second one today.

These books are good mystery novels for young adults. Also great for the parents! Now I am looking for book number three.

To Much Naivety

The first book was amazing, I understand the girls were coddled by Kit and are extremely naive. Especially for 33 years old. I believe it would have been better to continue the series with Kit and watch the Girls develop along the way then having their on stories. This was just too much naivety for me following such an amazing story with Kit. It seems like Elizabeth just isn’t ready for her own story yet.
