We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

I listened to this while cooking dinner and found myself wanting to try some of the ideas right away. The narrator had a friendly voice that made it easy to stay interested. I liked how the remedies were explained in a clear and simple way, without making things confusing. It reminded me of when my aunt used to make us herbal teas when we were sick as kids. After listening, I tried one of the suggestions for better sleep and it actually helped. It made natural health feel easy and doable.

Down to earth ingredients
I’ve always been curious about using herbs to heal my symptoms and this guide really stands out. The remedies are simple and super approachable on putting it together. In fact, most of the ingredients I already have at home. I drink tea every day for health purposes and I tried one of the teas for headaches and it worked for me since I didn’t need to reach for a tylenol. This is the guide I can go back to for natural remedies without being overwhelmed.
