Publisher's summary

Born into a dying kingdom, Princess Elena of Garius is certain her intelligence and compassion would make her a better ruler than Prince Leonardo, the man her father insists she marry to rule in her stead...a man rumored to have a cruel streak as deep as his father's pockets.

As Elena tries to find a way to protect herself and her kingdom, she learns she is the key to the rebirth of magic into the Kingdom of Light. And her five guards have been preordained to help her - with the touch of their bodies to hers.

Magic has been dead so long that most people believe it's a myth. But there's no denying the ache in Elena's chest or the feelings that consume her whenever her guards are near. Wicked feelings no princess should feel for one man, let alone five.

The cure for this strange madness is days away. And while her guards have sworn to protect her - even to their deaths - Prince Leonardo isn't so quick to let her go. Not when he believes Elena is the mother of magic.

And he wants to claim her as his own.

Contains mature themes.

Could have been better

Might as well have been an orgy. Not what i was expecting at all. The book could have been much more.

If you don’t have sex you will die!!!

Sorry story was really weird. She has to save the world by orgasming via 5 other men and then bang the last one. By the way she’s dying because she’s not doing the sex. Every single one of the characters except this within the first three chapters so I’m not spoiling anything. And everyone is very well aware on this, nobody questions anything, just OK guess we’re having sex, to save the world, and magic, and myself. I really had a hard time finding the plot. Other than “sex for magic.”

The light queen and her protectors

Great start to a series. I love the magic and bond the main female character has with her mates

Light on the Magic but full of steamy goodies

Heiress of Light

Most important: This is an adult book with multiple steamy sex scenes. Lots of them. I had to hide away to listen to the good parts uninterrupted :-)

The story so far is pretty simple for the Fantasy/SciFi genre but I rather enjoyed a straight forward story line with this one. Sometimes authors try to hard to make their work seem complex and fail miserably. So kudos to this author for not falling in that trap.

Our main character is Princess Elena and she is being forced to marry an evil prince. Elena decides to run with the assistance of her five personal guards. On their journey, they realize they must do much more than protect the princess from harm in order to keep her alive.

Alot of the drama surrounds Elena interactions with the five guards and their different personalites. As magic has not fully been awakened there isnt much if it in this book. Elena has to ignite each type of magic before it can be born again.

There is just enough action to keep the book from getting dull. Also the book didn't linger on any one thing. It was straight to the point. That made the book short, but I prefer short over unnecessary fluff.

It's the first book of a series so I don't expect to get my questions answered in this one. I have a few.

Question 1 - Why did the author decide to make Elena hate herself? At this point in time where women are trying their hardest to show young girls that we can be smart, and be nice, and enjoy our sexuality... this book makes the Main Character hate herself for having sexual desires. Damn are we not in 2018?

2. How do any of these dudes look? No clue.

3. What the hell is a duology? Who makes only two books now-a-days? Stop being an butt and write three proper books.

The narrator for this one was ok. The performance was not bad and nothing stood out. That isn't a bad thing.

I recommend this book to those in any of the following categories:

1. New to Erotica. This isn't classified as erotica but it is a good option to get you prepared. The sex scenes are detailed enough pit the images in your head, but vanilla enough not to scare you off.

2. Love Triangle. If you love books where the lead has multiple suitors to choose from then this will hit the mark.

3. Light on Fantasty/ Big on Royalty. This book is low fantasy but may appeal to those who really enjoy books about royal families and court life.

Seems immature

I don't normally give up on books easily but I just couldn't continue reading this one. The narrative of the story is very immature while trying to include mature content. But what really killed it for me was the structure of the dialogue. It was a lot of "he said," "she said." Really disappointing, this book has been in my wish list for a while.

not a love story

if you're looking for a steamy reverse Harem with a happily-ever-after ending this book is not for you.

I only made it about two hours into this book and then I quit, and I'm not usually a quitter. I try to to stick a book out even when they're not that good, but the heroin in this book will truly anger you. who wants to read a reverse Harem where all the main characters insist they'd be better off dying then being with each other?
I look for stories where the characters can love each other, not be forced into it by Magic. the heroine is a spoiled weak spineless brat who refuses to believe or listen to anyone around her.

the narrator was good though. nice voice and no stupid inflections on her words like I've heard in some.

Uuugghhh. Too many words!

I wanted SO bad to like this book but I go half way through and couldn’t take it anymore. 😕
Too many words and the characters repeat things way too much. I have this thing where I have to repeat myself 2-3x in different ways while I’m in a conversation before I feel satisfied I communicated well. That’s what this book does. Too many characters say the same exact thing and just talk WAAAY too much. 😕
I really wanted to like this book since the story line is great.
