About this listen
A second chance to make up for the mistakes of the past. A second chance at love.
Troy
I’ve settled in at Fort Dale with a great job at the clinic on base, and I’ve even made a few friends. The nearby city offers all I need to enjoy myself on a night off, if you know what I mean.
I was just starting to relax and think everything would work out, when he walked into the clinic. Oscar Reyes, the man I fell in love with six years ago and who walked out on me because he couldn’t handle the thought of being out.
I never thought I’d see him again, and now, he’s here, tossing everything I thought I knew on its head.
Oscar
There aren’t many things in life that throw me off. Despite a bit of a temper, I deal with things quite well. The IED that took my arm and left me with a permanent limp was hard, but after six months, I’m managing.
Well, I was. Until I ran into Troy again. Just seeing him was enough to realize six years wasn’t long enough to kill my feelings.
When I walked away, it seemed right at the time, and my reasons haven’t changed. This time, I’m determined to stand by that decision. Until I went and kissed him.
Oscar and Troy would have sworn six years was enough to make them forget. It wasn’t. When both men find themselves stationed at Fort Dale, staying away from each other suddenly seems impossible.
Nothing has changed, including their feelings, it seems. But is it enough?

Soldiers die, that’s just how it goes. It’s different when it’s one of your brothers. Team Maelstrom, my team, was broken when we lost one of our own. And now we have to sit around Stateside while the men in charge figure out what to do with us. When they find a replacement, I immediately know it’s not going to work. I know I can be a grumpy bastard, and I’m not the easiest man to deal with, but you’d think my best friend would trust me. We don’t keep secrets, even about our love lives. That’s what I thought until I found out Dean was seeing someone. I don’t like it...don’t ask me why. Conor: It starts with a drunken text pic. The kind I would normally never send. Only, instead of it going to the flirty hotel bartender, it goes to some random stranger who actually responds. Wells: The first thing I notice about Conor Newell when he sits down in my high-rise conference room is how delightfully nervous he is. Then I see his tie. The same geeky tie that’s held hostage on my phone. The one that belongs to my anonymous late-night texter. And it changes everything.

Buying a house was supposed to be a good investment. Too bad I bit off more than I can chew. Between my job at the bank and my utter lack of home improvement skills, I’m in way over my head. Then a friend suggests I hire a handyman. Enter Tyler. Tyler is down on his luck after a recent divorce, and we strike a deal that he fixes my house while I give him room and board as part of his pay. When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

Charles Preston Carmichael is the most infuriating man I've ever met. I want to sock the golden boy of college hockey right in the mouth. He enjoys telling me everything I'm messing up—publicly. And since he's my roommate for the next year, I can't avoid him. Yet there's something about him that makes me watch him. Something dark. A secret I want to uncover. When he returns from a weekend away, broken and haunted, I can't keep my distance anymore. He needs someone, and I'll be damned if it's not me.

Love Troy & Oscar!
Second chance romances are one of my fave tropes & Michael F is one of my fave narrators so this was a quick, satisfying listen. Troy was so patient while Oscar overcame some past trauma & current fear. And I loved when Oscar finally put Troy first. I think I’ll check out the other books that came before in series so I can get everyone’s story!

Bullets vs. The Closet Door
I think Oscar would take bullets and an IED over the crippling fear of opening the closet door every time. The chemistry between Troy and Oscar is undeniable. Even after years of not seeing each other they still banter like no time has passed. I really enjoyed this book, other than wanting to take Oscar's closet door off of its hinges of course. I also gained a new understanding of Troy that didn't shine through in the previous two books.
I liked how the story line of "I'm Straight Right" was overlapped with this book . Well done Romeo Alexander and John Harris. As always Michael Ferraiuolo was able to give depth to all of the characters in the book, even the side ones. I could always tell which one was speaking by his subtle inflections. I would definitely recommend.

enjoyed it
Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
Story comment: good pace and likeable characters. This story is an easy listen with just a little bit of drama. It has lots of heart and I enjoyed the journey of discovery Troy and Oscar travelled as they figured out what (and who) is important.
Narrator comment: I enjoyed Michael Ferraiuolo's narration and think he's done a good job narrating Here We Go Again. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the book to life.
My only critical comment would be, that I wish there was a way to mark the 'flashbacks and memories' during an audio-book. It took me a minute to figure out that the Character was experiencing a memory of past events. Not having read the book prior to listening to the audio, I was lost the first few times it happened. A comment like "6 years earlier" would have made it easier to understand we were remembering past events. This isn't anyone's fault - its just a flaw with audio.

Here We Go Again
This was a good audiobook!! It was about 2 military men who dated for a year and then run into each other on base 6 years later. I would definitely say it’s a drama. There’s no action or anything. Basically just them finding there way back together and dealing with one of them being in the closet. The narrator was perfect for this type of story. I would recommend this audiobook.

Oscar and Troy are great characters; I loved both Troy’s willingness to put the past behind their backs and Oscar’s strength to try again and overcome his fears.

Solid
Nice story leveled up by the fantastic michael Ferraiuolo. The chemistry between the two main characters is good. The reason for their original break up is ridiculous and you have to suspend your brain especially when you finally meet the brother who MC didn't want to tell he was gay and the brother is an understanding, intelligent shrink.
But he’s a rough and grumbly sexy hero and the book is sweet, hot, and worth a read. This is the first book I’ve read in this series. I would read more.

Lovers to Exes to Awkward to Lovers
This book slightly overlaps with Trust Me, I Hate You. which I loved. I also really like this book too.
I'm gonna be honest, you're gonna wanna Gib slap Oscar in this book. You love him but you really want to smack some sense into him.
Growing up where and how he did Oscar is determined never to come out of the closet bc he fears the only family he has, a brother who raised him, will turn his back on him. Breaking up with Troy years ago is something he regrets but his secret takes a bigger priority for him so he plays the game to throw his brother off by dating women occasionally, even though he has no interest in them and his heart belonged to only one man. After 5 years, active duty, scars, and part of a missing arm General Winters wants Oscar at Fort Dale. But there's a surprise waiting for him.
Troy works at the medical clinic at Fort Dale (I never really caught weather or not Troy was an actual Doctor or not but they call him Doc). For the last 5 years after getting his heart broken he makes his way through the men at the gay bars preferring men who are bigger and stronger than he is. Feisty, mouthy, and bossy he really doesn't take much crap from anyone. Working on a base with soldiers and a firecracker of a co-worker makes those strong qualities to have. When Oscar is instructed by General Winters to do a mandatory medical check Troy gets a huge surprise and he's not exactly sure how to take it.
This book is a shorter one than I usually read and I feel saying too much more will give away great parts of the book. But just know Oscar really struggles with his need to be with Troy. Troy feels yanked around and toyed with. You know through the whole book they should be together but Oscar is too stubborn for most of it to accept it. This book has a HEA.
10/10 would recommend and will re-read.

While its no secret that I have enjoyed this series. I had trouble with this book. I freely admit that I didn't give up on it and kept coming back to it. well I finally buckled down and got this one done. while it is a good story in my humble opinion its not their best work. but I did enjoy Oscar's brother.

Good Story, Great Narration
I enjoyed this story about military men and challenges they deal with . I liked both characters, their vulnerability and determination as they work through the feelings. Narrator did a great job with the story and voices and made this a very good listening experience.
