Publisher's summary

One year, two opposites, and a love that will blindside and, ultimately, shatter them.

She's an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love. He's an ex-football star who thinks love is a con.

She's a virgin, and he doesn't do virgins. He's cocky, infuriating, and not her type.

She wants the fairytale. He wants freedom.

Blake and Farrah shouldn't have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably.

Because they're studying abroad in Shanghai, and they only have one year. Because forces at home threaten to rip them apart, even if they don't know it yet. And because, eventually, they must face the most heartbreaking lesson they'll ever learn: sometimes, even the greatest love can't conquer all.

Contains mature themes.

Young love never lasts

Overall it’s a very well written story. This was a very slow burn, lite spice read and was a bit underwhelming after the twisted series. For the genre it’s described well and the characters development was enduring

I loved this book so much! I think it was such a good book and I can’t wait to read the second book to this series!

A good book

This was a really interesting book and I enjoyed the audio. Some things that happened made me unhappy, and its not really memorable. Compared to the Twisted series, you can tell this is an earlier book for Ana Huang since the writing is sub-par.

Love it, but sad ending.

This is the first book in awhile that has a sad ending. Of course all love stories come have a happy ending, some end sadly.

Predictable

This is my first time reading this author. I expected more after reading how wonderful she was. It is slow moving and at one time I checked to see if it was a Young Adult book. I’d like to know what happens next but not sure I can handle the ultra slow pace.

Young adult story

This book is about young adults journey to adulthood. It was difficult to listen how parents are not loving and supportive as they should be. In the end there were a lot of text how life will never be the same etc and this was boring for me. I dint know it was a series, so it seams I will take next book and continue.
