Excellent

This book, like those that came before, is jam packed with action and intrigue. The narration was excellent. There were plenty of heart pounding battles won and lost, ending in death or worse.

MR. Cooper writing skills have grown immensely since this series was started

Mikael Naramore narration is well timed, well read, well spoken, and just plain "well done"

HURRY UP & WRITE THE REST!!!

This is a very good series that gets you hooked pretty quickly; unfortunately the series is not over & the author hasn't written any more in over two years! I do hope he doesn't pull a "George R. R. Martin". I'll never again read, or see, anything by or involving George R. R. Martin; who started writing a series & then just stopped. Luckily for fans of that series Hollywood picked it up and completed it - I still haven't watched the last season.
So, Mark E. Cooper, please write the next several volumes of this series. Five more by June of 2020 doesn't sound unreasonable to me, look how much Alan Dean Foster writes & edits in a single year! ;)
Thanx!

Good narrator, story seems interesting

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Caveat emptor: This book is the 5th in the series and I have not read any of the previous ones. In fact, I am not finishing this book right now because I am going to start from the beginning of the series. That being said, this is my review based on about 1.5-2 hours I have completed.

The narrator is one of the better I've listened to. Good range of character voices.

Story seems interesting. Starts out in the aftermath of some alien war where humans are allied with at least one other race against a mutual enemy. The ally race has a lot of detail and we see characters from their perspective. Interesting enough to get me to start from the beginning.

I believe that if you are a fan of this series, you probably have been anxiously awaiting this sequel.

Incomplete

I enjoy the series. The narrator is awesome. I feel as if the end of this book should have been the halfway point. Things were just starting to get more interesting and there seemed to be long way to go before it all got settled.

War is Hell

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a great audiobook. The narration is clear and engaging and the story itself is entertaining.

Any additional comments?

This book doesn't just focus on the battles. It also focuses on the price that civilians and others pay by surviving attacks. Battles that are won don't always seem so when the costs are revealed.

Really enjoyed it

I jumped in on this one. Never listened to any of the others. Really enjoyed it though, once I understand what was going on. Lots of great scifi action and enjoyable characters. I'll have to go back and get the other books.

The narrator did a wonderful job. Very enjoyable.

Good story and performance, but new performer?

I love this series, it's one of my favorite even though it's short, only 5 books so far. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first 4, but I'm not 100% on why. One issue is that it seemed like the performer changed. Mikael Naramore, who performed the first 4, is listed as the performer, and he's great in everything I've listened to him in, but in this book none of the characters from the first 4 books sound the same. That made it harder to follow and less enjoyable.

This book comes alive!

Where does Incursion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks at the top of my audio book shelf. The reading was right on. The story continued to flow as the reader made the characters come alive. This was one where you didn't want to park the car until the book was over.

What other book might you compare Incursion to and why?

The magnitude of the story, the scope of the scenes can only be compared to the entire series. No other book I've read comes close to developing characters with heart, fear, compassion and ruthlessness.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The lust of power and control

Any additional comments?

The reader makes the story come alive as if he was writing it on the fly. This takes an enormous amount of talent. His way with pauses and inflection makes one want to listen to the book several times.

Review "Incursion "

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”
Mikael Naramore has given us another great narration. Mark Cooper continues the saga of war torn humanity in fighting against an alien species. He sets up under stories that will pull fully into the plot in upcoming books. There still is character development taking place which seems to slow the action pace and keep the plot resolution just out of sight. More answers are coming, keep reading:-)
