About this listen

Invasions and sabotage. Two civilizations doing anything to exist. War crimes are the norm.

Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns.

The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most - and is instantly plunged into their bitter war. To gain the freedom he desires, Joe needs to turn to the less savory aspects of his class.

Engulfed by darkness, Joe can only hope he’ll be able to snuff out the light.

Exciting and Fun! Good as ever!

Dakota Krout had another incredible performance in Inflame. I was prepared for a gentle descent from greatness to mediocrity by book 6, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this as exciting and fun as his previous 5 books.

I enjoyed it but.....

I enjoyed the book but it seemed like it was missing something. I can't put my finger on it. The narration by Luke is still amazing I'm glad he became the narrator for the series. but the story still felt lacking.

Another one over the bck fence

Another gem from the twisted mind of Krout, and the talented vocals of Daniels!

My 2 cets worth.

Great story hurt by issues with narration

I love the story in this series. The humor is just crazy enough to catch you off guard and the characters are unique to really keep you interested and wanting to read more.

The narration is good until there is a female character. He just can't pull off a female voice. This really hurts the flow of the book and ruins several of the jokes. Really wish more narrators would start working with someone of the other gender to help.

One more comment, I really don't like the blooper real. It is great for movies but really not funny when it is just one person that messed up.

Fans of Rexus will love this entry

This book leans more into the silliness, like previous book in this series Rexus but staying with the MC Joe instead of a side character. Making this my second least favorite in the series, not too bad but I prefer the less silly books 1,2 and 4...

I love this series. Give us more!

This book is a great next stage for the saga of Spell'Bro'Joe. Great advancement without too much power creep.

A change of pace that I actually liked.

I don't know if it was the setting, the people, or just the change of scenery. But I actually found myself enjoying this book more than the previous. I liked that it got a little more mythical with the elves and dwarfs and we got information on their society, how it worked, and how to progress. The book answered questions I didn't know I had from the other books!
Now, I like Joe and we see that he is capable of doing amazing, super powerful stuff! But couldn't he focus a little more on combat? I get what they are going for and yeah, If I was stuck I a game for all of eternity I'd want to be planning for my future as well. But Joe is soo non-conbat focused its amazing he doesn't die more often and It distracts from the story. Joe, again, realizes that he sucks at combat, promises to get better, some how survives, then does nothing to improve his combat. This is the first time Joe really has weapons and armor that give him combat abilities and its only because they were more or less pushed onto him by others.
