Publisher's summary

Without a map, 19-year-old Jake Ducey leaves behind a drug-filled life and college basketball scholarship to wander the world and prove we can find our dreams by following our heart. On the outskirts of civilization, often uncertain, without money and near death, he finds that everything he was seeking in the world was within him the whole time. Journeying from Guatemala to Australia, Indonesia to Thailand, and ending with fourteen days of silent meditation, he shows that our destiny is in reach if we only look within ourselves first.

Enjoyable book

I really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the author and so glad he narrated his own book. I loved how he much he enjoyed traveling and getting to know the people he met as well. And his meditation time was great to hear about. We all could use more Buddhism in our lives. Well done!

Six Month Journey

This book was an awesomely insightful book for those seeking self-help. This young author is wise beyond his years (My opinion). Enough that myself, being older and supposedly wiser was touched by his story. Short, sweet, and very nicely written. May his message resonate with you as well. And that's just his first book...

Overly ecstatic

I like the story and the writer, but felt at some points that the writing was a bit immature and overly ecstatic. Definitely inspiring stuff !

Emotional

Wishing this book had been a part of my life when I was in my 20's. I want both of my boys to grow up with the knowledge and inner strength this book can reach. Give, love, possessions are not the key to happiness...thank you!

meh

What would have made Into the Wind better?

The writing was both flowery and choppy. The author seems sincere but some of the generalizations and assumptions don’t have much depth. This story is very one note
