Riveting and exciting!!💜

Fantastic murder mystery! So many plot twists and suspenseful. Grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved it.
The narration was amazing. Alan Adelberg does a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. There were some scenes that required a little extra acting on his part, and Alan absolutely nailed it.
I highly recommend this book.

Excellent Narration

IRONS IN THE FIRE.
A corrupt judge and drug dealing, was it worth breaking in to get a story. Irons was the rookie at the paper while Ev had taken him under his wing. They found evidence they hadn’t encountered on, a dead body, cash and a police issued gun. They had there answers, now to find Vicki’s killer. Ev and Vicki his daughter weren’t close, but tired of seeing drug killings being swept under the rug. He wanted justice and help, that drew Irons in. Irons thinking he now was a fugitive with a gun that had killed someone, knew this would bring trouble and it did.
An interesting plot, and you are drawn to Jeremy Irons, he is young, naive just wanting a career in journalism. Who was pulling the strings, and had the control over the judges, newspaper, makes a good story to read,

Great whodunnit!

If you enjoy whodunnits, you MUST read this book! Young reporter, Sherman Irons, has written an article about a drug related school shooting and the drug kingpin that should have gotten justice...but was given a slap on the wrist by a judge. When Irons receives an anonymous tip that the judge was bribed, he and his mentor break into the judge’s home to look for evidence. Except, what they find is a dead judge...and the cops showing up! Now Irons is a murder suspect and on the run. Who can he trust? Told from Irons POV, the story is well written with the right amount of snark, and of course, mystery. Both author and narrator are new to me and I enjoyed the narrator’s portrayal of all characters. Great ending to the story and I’m looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Excellent, Engaging and Believable

This story kept me guessing and never wanting to stop almost all the way to the end. I erroneously eliminated the murderer and had no clue as to motive on this winding ride until so many little things fit together at the very end. The characters were so different and real—maybe based on real people. Clearly a fine writer and a well researched crime story. Very promising for an early work.

A fast paced who-done-it with bite.

Sherman Iron is an investigative reporter for the Hunter Post. Everett “Ev” Talbot is Sherman’s friend, fellow writer, mentor and idol. When Ev’s daughter is killed in a drive-by shooting and the prime suspect is released without bail, an enraged Ev sees corruption around every corner. Then Ev enlists Sherman’s help in bringing the responsible parties to justice, and things go from bad to worse. “Irons in the Fire” is a fast paced, nail biting who-done-it with an ending that I did not see coming. The writing is seamless, edgy and the dialogue witty. The narration is spot on and truly brings the story to life. I’m am absolutely hooked and I can’t wait for more books in this series.
