I also Anna Fields narrator miss her so much. Susan's story is such a wonderful romantic comedy. She is my favorite author. During my marriage y road trips to help family and deal with me health issues she lifts me up.

This was a delightfully surprising gem of a story! Just a bit uncomfortable with the way the author walks the line of physical romance with a rape victim. It’s just so hard to imagine a triggered victim falling for someone who assaulted her moments before. Besides that scene, everything else felt balanced fantasy and reality.

Good storyline. Narrator was great! I enjoyed the book very much! It had some very hot sex scenes but it never felt dirty.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading/listening to this story. I read this book with my book club and I'm so glad that it was picked. I wasn't quite sure if I would enjoy it or not because I'm not really a football person however, that was truly not the main focus and the story was very well written. Phoebe and Dan are really great characters! I honestly loved all of the characters and noticed that there are more books in this series and I do intend to read them. Excellent story!

When a book keeps up until nearly 4 in the morning, you know it’s good!
I loved how much these characters grew. And that went for the side characters as well.
It’s hard to say what exactly stood out the most, but the writer has a way of truly bringing you in to the story. I went from really wanting to (but not) liking the MMC, to being in love with him. And how strong Pheone was from beginning to end was inspired!

BOOKIN IT BABES Book club July 2020 pick

Cute, funny, with a lot sass!!

This book was about a woman named Phoebe who inherits a football team called the Chicago stars. In order to keep her inheritance she has to make ,what she feels like, the impossible possible with taking a losing team to the top. She runs into many challenges but with the help of Dan nothing is impossible or is it?!?!? With Dan being just as stubborn as Phoebe their journey to the top is hilarious! Between their bantering I found myself several times laughing a loud! This book also transported me back to the mid 90s with detail in the character’s fashion and walk-mans references.
