Now, after years of corruption and decadence, Elric’s amoral cousin Prince Yyrkoon, the brother of his beloved Cymoril, sets his eyes on the Ruby Throne. Story
Almost five years ago, America—as everyone knew it—came to an abrupt end in a spectacular coup d'état. It was called the Liberation by those progressives and radicals that screamed for its outcome; the Fall by its victims whose freedoms were trampled. The White House and the Capitol were overrun by anarchists, and the leaders of the once-proud nation were either imprisoned or sent to social quarantine camps. The president was arrested and eventually died in prison, or so everyone was led to believe. America was rebooted in a new progressive/socialist image, Newmerica.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Amazing Story!
The story is great, definitely looking forward to the sequel!
The individuals reading (especially the male) could have a little more inflection and emotion as they are reading however.

Great job
i normally do not get too much into Sci-Fi stuff, but this was great. I really liked the real world allusions to various things, as well as the Christian themes. I would like to see more, as well as some sort of setting material guide.
For instance, how many hands is the guy that lost three hands supposed to have? I might have missed it with an audio book. What does a laser repeater look like? Are they all the same? I don't have an issue with my imagination leading, just curious.
I am not sure how to even spell her name, Annalessa, she has long ears, and a tail. Is she a wolf/fox lady, or is most of her body not covered in hair. I assume from all the golden pikini stuff she, that is her race is not covered in fur, but not super clear.
Still, I really enjoyed it, or I should say am enjoying as I am into Chapter 28 right now. Great job, keep it up.

Templars Stand
The influences for the story are very clear. And as someone who grew up with those same influences I applaud there use and the faith based story. If you enjoy adventure and sci-fi and a faith based good story you will enjoy how a nano Templar warrior steps away from his religious order having questions seeking answers and finds a unexpected trial to answer his questions

Great story worth the listen
it's a great story the characters are given many moral hurdles the pacing is well done. it has moments of levity and seriousness neither interfere with the other. The intro can be a bit jarring but beyond that pure joy to listen to.

Solid book, good two-voice recitation on Audible
Is this book worth buying? Yeah, I think it is. Does it have a solid plot with no major plot holes? Yes. I was entertained. The audible recording using two voices to indicate the perspective switches was a good choice, and the book works well in the audio format.
I do have a few minor complaints, but they're stylistic, detail stuff in the text, nothing terribly major. Mainly there are just a bunch of places where the word choice is jarring and weird, and it often just happens to be in the middle of intense scenes where an immersion break hurts the most. Some of the descriptions of characters' faith experiences are also compromised by weird word choice in this way, though others are effective and evocative.

no narration team just individuals. dnf
I can't finish this the narrators let the author down by not splitting the characters, if Michael did all the male and Moira did all the female characters in addition to being the main narrator based on the character like they did then I could have finished instead of dropping this at the second chapter.

Objectifying of the female
too descriptive attempted sexual assaults. I would not have purchased this book had I known. Not what I was expecting it was a turn off.
