This is really very much like the mm version of fifty shades, but i think i liked this version better. First, the author writes a lot better (which is not an impossible task at all). Second, it might just be the mm storyline but the characters seems more real. It is of cause a fairytale of a young naive (not-gay) man falling for the rich, troubled and lonely MMA fighter, who needs him to function. It is a comming out story for the college student and sort of a dom-sub story (without the whips) due to the personality of the MMA fighter, mostly. I liked that it is infact the MMA fighter who does not have a problem with being gay (he has too many other issues to deal with). It kind of creates an extra layer to an otherwise straigthforward story and makes it stand out a little. It is however not meant to stand alone so unless you commit to listening to all three of the books it wont make much sence. I liked the narration.

I would absolutely recommend this book to a friend. I really enjoyed this story. Maris Black did an awesome job of creating characters that you truly get connected to. You really feel like you are there in the story watching it unfold.

What did you like best about this story?

The interaction between Jamie and Kage is what I really love the most about the story.

What does J. F. Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

J.F. Harding is an awesome narrator! This is the second series that I have heard him in and I loved his voice both times. He really brings the story to life.

When I got this book I had no idea it was a man on man romance, I just got it because it was on sale. I have to admit, I love a good man on man love story, so this was not a disappointment to me. I ended up with all three books in the series. I was hooked! I’m about to restart the series again now. So sweet, hot and endearing!

Hands down one of the Best and Hottest books I've listened to so far, and Ive listened to a lot.
And Oh. My. God. don't even get me started on J.F. Harding's Sexy AF voice for Kage..

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS BOOK IN THEIR LIVES....
Seriously... Get this book... Better yet, get this book in Audio... You will Not be Disappointed...
But you will End up needing and wanting book two and three..

I listened to the whole thing in one night. The thoughtful storyline and tintalating characters mesmerized my brain cells. I want more. So much more.

Wow! Very great! I really wanted to cry at the ending. Kage is literally amazing and I loved the way his character was depicted. Very compassionate and loving and bold! Jamie is young and he needs him but wasn’t ready and moved very fast. He was just scared! Kage needed to understand that!

I could go on and on! I’m so glad I stumbled upon this book and I just realize that its a trilogy!! Very excited! Thank you Maris

I've read the trilogy and now listened to the audible version many times. It is dark and gritty at times, not for the faint of heart. I absolutely love their story. JF Harding is one of my favorite narrators and does an outstanding job here.

I walked into this one blind. No reviews, no pre conceived notions of what others thought.. just me and this book. I’m so glad I did. I had no idea the amount of tension and want and the circling around one another that would happen.

I am off to the next because I can’t wait. Neither should you. Best book I’ve listened to in a while.
