It was supposed to be fun. A relaxing trip to a remote mountain retreat where there’s no phone reception. Three couples, friends since high school, are looking forward to a weekend of drinking, reminiscing and flirting.

About the Creator

Jack Heath is the #1 bestselling author of 40 novels for adults and children, published in nine languages. His first crime thriller, Hangman, was voted one of the 100 best books of all time (twice).
Born in Melbourne in 1985, Jack started writing his first novel in Canberra, while studying at Lyneham High School and working at a fish and chip shop in Dickson. He submitted the manuscript to a publisher at age 17, and the book became his first international bestseller. He took various other jobs—bass guitar tutor, call center worker, TV salesperson, ghostwriter, and bookseller—before quitting to write full time in 2017.

Captivating from the beginning

I loved the twists and turns and all the narrators were great. It might be hard to adapt it for TV but I would totally watch it. Awesome read!

If only they could make it into a miniseries!

Sexy Suspenseful Puzzle

I thought the narration in this book was top notch. The storyline is a bit all over the place and the motive doesn’t really make sense but overall it was good. The Kiera and Elise storyline seems a bit forced and there is some background story that they keep alluding to but the author never really fills you on the story so not really sure what the purpose of that storyline was. Some of Kiera’s moves make no sense at all. Who rents a remote house that was just a crime scene when the possible killer is still at large? Other issue is that none of the “friends” actually seem to like each other at all which makes it a bit difficult to make sense of the story and none of them seem likeable so you don’t really care who ends up dead.

I loved the third person omniscient feel to this novel. I got clues from each person, but are they all accurate?! I couldn't put this book down.
