Publisher's summary

An artifact is stolen from the King Tut exhibit, setting in motion a string of bizarre murders that baffle the Kansas City Police Department.

A local author simultaneously releases his novel, The Curse of the Pharaohs, attributing the deaths to an ancient prophesy, "Death shall come on swift wings to him who disturbs the peace of the King."

Are the deaths the result of an ancient curse or modern day mayhem?

Follow the clues with Walt and decide for yourself!

Curse or Greed

I absolutely love this series due to the likable characters of Walt, Ox and their extended family. It has humor as well thought provoking ideas. Poor Walt and Ox always seems to get into trouble. Loved the part were elderly is accused of crime of marijuana possession and then part were of curse or greed and double standards both with politician and cops. As always great narration. Highly recommend if you enjoy a good humorous mystery. Keep them coming! I was given this audiobook by author and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!

Loved the twists & turns

I am a big fan of every book in this series, and this was one of my favorites. The twists & turns in the mystery of the Pharaohs’ jewels was suspenseful, AND there were a lot of scenes which brought the whole gang together. Those ensemble scenes are really what make this series special.

On top of that, there is a great sub-story which is told via a court case being played out step by step. You get to hear the prosecution & defense lay out their arguments on each side, and that told a story which was compelling & thought provoking. As always, this installment was a big hit!

Lady Justice and the Pharaoh’s Curse

Walt and Ox sure get themselves in a pickle in this book, but luckily they are able to think on their feet and get through it somewhat unscathed. I am loving this series!

Justice Prevails!

This is my favorite book to date by Robert Thornhill! I have been fascinated with King Tut since I saw the real treasure displayed in Chicago in the 1970's. I also thought it was incredibly thought provoking how he brought up the issue of medical marijuana and how its legal in some states while not in others. The benefits of it for certain conditions versus the side effects of big pharmaceutical drugs. How both things were intwined into one awesome book was amazing. This book was so well done with its humor, suspense, mystery, current issues, and desire for lady justice to prevail. George Kuch continue to perform the characters with distinguishable voices and adds so much to how he says things. Other facets I love about this series of books is the consistency of characters, glimpses into previous books, the narration, and the laugh out loud humor. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I can't wait to listen to the next adventure of Walt. Ox, Judy, Mary, and crew.

Lady Justice and the Pharaoh's Curse

Lady Justice and the Pharaoh's Curse
By: Robert Thornhill

Walt Wìlliams returns with the "old" gang. The friends and family are there with their quirky humor and assistance as Walt and Ox stumble into Egyptian curses attached to ancient artifacts.

Mr. Thornhill touches on current topics such as medical marijuana; and double standards when it comes to prosecuting prominent peòple compared to everyday citizens. The listener is given plenty to think about.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch breathes life into these great characters. I'm anxious to find out what comes next!

Another great book in the Lady Justice Series!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. Another great book in the Lady Justice Series! I've not come across a book in this series that I didn't like. This one involved an ancient Egyptian curse. Only Walt and Ox could get mixed up in something like that. There were lots of twists and turns as well as an ending I never expected. Can't wait to see what's next for these two and the gang of misfits.

another good one!

I really did like most of the story. There was one part that felt like it might get to kinda a lecture on the authors opinion, like the end of the last book, but it was wrapped up without feeling like an unsolicited "political" view lecture. I do enjoy the stories more when we're not told exactly who did it from the very beginning but not much was taken away from this story from that.

One of the best Lady Justice books.

I love Egyptian lore and the Curse of the Pharaoh is one of the best. Between the author and narrator, this book is perfect. Love this series and the collaboration. I received this audio book for free at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Excellent read!

law-enforcement, greed, suspense, mystery, myths-legends, murder, friendship, humor -----
Retired from real estate, Walt has been a police officer in St Louis for five years now partnered with his friend Ox. The traveling exhibit of King Tut's replicated grave goods is on display and one of their band of friends received enough free tickets for them all to go. Later things go downhill because a large artifact is stolen and the body count just keeps rising. There are other notable cases and even courtroom drama, not to mention someone setting them up for a murder rap! Twisty, thought provoking, and peppered with situational and verbal humor. Another good read!
