About this listen

A former secret service agent turned private detective, Mimi Capurro.

A disgraced NFL player turned homicide detective, Nick Christianson.

A snarky (who knows what his background really is) computer forensics specialist, Charles Parks, trying to keep them from killing each other.

And now they must find the killer of a New York Times best-selling author's assistant. Gotcha Detective Agency was hired to protect the author, when it was the assistant who really needed protection. And now it's a race to see who can find the killer. Mimi is determined to make up for puking all over Nick's crime scene by solving the murder before he does. Who will solve this case first?

Vampire 🧛‍♂️ Freaks

I accidentally found this series and Jamie Lee Scott. You are now in rotation. Great story great main character Mimi, who is a multifaced woman whose whole life is not sucked up by a romance man but she’s definitely not lonely. I don’t know why it could be that I’m an avid mystery reader, and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I feel like that husband is gonna pop up at some point in this series and I will not be happy him. Made me think: I wish was one of those people who received advanced copies of books and could write reviews about them. Who do I talk to for that?

Recommended for fans of Stephanie Plum

This book is a hidden gem! The story has tons of humor, sexy flirting, and a well thought out mystery. The narrator was perfect for the part. She had a droll, sarcastic tone that had me laughing, but she was serious and emotive when she needed to be.

Enjoyed The Mystery

The story and mystery were enjoyable to listen to. A better narrator would help. This one has a limited range of voices. Not a fan of the romance tension which is the current requirement in stories but this one isn’t as annoying as most. I liked the surprise solution to the crime.
