Publisher's summary

Wounded while retaking the Armory, Talon's recovery is slow and painful. Unaware that his family in Texas are having to deal with similar situations from within their own community.

With still no action or assistance from the Federal or State governments, each community must deal with daily shortages of their basic needs. Civilization and civility have been replaced with every person for themselves. Lawlessness and chaos are the new normal. Large population centers have for the most part become unsustainable.

Talon pushes himself relentlessly to regain enough strength to resume his journey. Every decision takes on more importance as the world falls deeper into anarchy.

Talon just can’t catch a break.

Great addition to the series. But at this rate it’s going to take Talon years to get home. Can’t wait for the next book.

simple but thrilling

Talon is what every man hopes he could be in this setting. Calm, tactical, has a heart, determination, but deadly!

Slow pace/poorediting

I actually like the premise of the story. However the way in which it is written makes me want to have the ability to go in and edit words/phrases to make it sound better. I consume 99% of my books through audio. So I am accustomed to works published by major houses with personnel there to help improve the authors’ works. It seems this author is self published, so kudos to him for that. However I wish he had access to someone to give some constructive feedback. Like I said I do enjoy the premise of the story. I would like to see it I would just like to see an improvement in the fluidity of the narrative.
