About this listen
Have you ever gone on auto-pilot while driving and ended up somewhere you didn’t expect? That is exactly what happens to Amelia as she finds herself sitting on a park bench in the Cotswolds with no memory of how she got there.
Then, along comes Toby, a gorgeous Californian surfer, and sparks fly between them. Something tells Amelia that he is the key to solving all the mysteries:
- Who are the creepy men in black suits who seem to follow their every move?
- Why does she keep having the same nightmares?
- What is Toby hiding?
- Why can’t she remember the last time she ate?
- Are they both dead?
Lose all sense of logic and reason, and escape into a topsy-turvy world of beautiful visualization, heart-soaring romance, and spine-tingling horror. This young adult paranormal romance will keep you guessing and leave you wondering...is this all a dream?

It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Sweet romance
This book was different than what I had expected. The first part was more confusing and I didn’t know how I would like it.
I am glad I pressed on- it was a charming and sweet romance with a paranormal element.

This book was kinda confusing at first, but not enough to make me want to stop listening. It kept me interested and the ending was awesome. I’m not usually a contemporary romance reader but I did enjoy this book and would recommend it.

Good story, OK narrator
overall: 3.5 stars
I will not summarize this story because it was already given in the description of this book and I do not want to give any of the plot away. The purpose of this review was to give potential readers information to make an informed decision about reading/listening to this book.
What engaged me in this story:
• I liked the concept of two characters meeting during unconciousness. The author's storyline was very unique. I like unique.
• For some reason, I had a hard time getting into this book. But about one-third of the way through the book, the storyline caught my interest and I am so glad I kept going.
• Toby and Amelia were the type of characters that you wanted to discover more about as you listened to the story.
• The plot had many twists and turns.
• There was a lot of suspense.
• The romance between Toby and Amelia developed believably.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• This story had a satisfying ending.
• This was a clean story.
What I wish was improved:
• The narrator's voice sounded so young. The voice just did not fit my perceived expectation of a 28 year old woman. Also, the male voices were off. However, the narrator did have a pleasant voice.
I was given a free audiobook by the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I will be listening to or reading more books by this author.

Love Me Dreamy: Is a clean young adult romance and a standalone. I really like the writer Laura Burton's abilty to write unique plots that I haven't come across before and being a avid listener its a refreshing change to find new plots. It took an unexpected twist. This book was cute and fun. I thought Amelia acted more like the 19 year old then Toby and it took a little while to get into it, but overall it was good.

Very unusual paranormal
I had no idea where this story was going & was still in the dark until almost the last chapter. I have never encountered such an idea as Ms. Burton has in this story. It certainly gives a person food for thought. I really liked Ms. Haugen's voice as she read it.
I received a free copy from the author. This is my voluntary opinion.

It’s a quick listen and felt really lost at why Amelia seemed so confused all the time. Toby and Amelia definitely have sparks and I truly dig the story! Well-written! Audio narrator was okay for me.

Clean, unique paranormal romance
Story: 4.5 stars overall (5 stars for the idea/concept and minus 1/2 star for the proofing/verbiage errors that threw me out of this book.)
This story idea was really cool and in the first half of the book, the author successfully captures a surreal feeling , which is perfect for what is happening to the characters.
The second half is treated very realistically and I like that none of the steps in the process of healing physically and mentally were glossed over. Especially Amelia’s depression near the end of the book.
That said, there were grammatical issues and British vs. American verbiage problems. Those kept throwing me out of the book and kind of ruining it for me. (I’m kind of a stickler about a well-proofed story.)
Narrator: 2.5 stars overall (3 stars for narration minus 1/2 star for a number of mispronunciations)
Ms. Hayden is a decent narrator. I think she’d be wonderful reading a purely American-accented story. Her voice is lovely and her inflections and timing are good.
Unfortunately, one of the main characters in this book is British. I respect Ms. Hayden for not attempting an accent she perhaps didn’t feel comfortable with, but it threw me out of the book over and over again when Amelia’s British life is constantly referred to, but she speaks with an American accent.

Great story
It took me awhile to get into the story. something was not normal but what was different. you will see.
A very different love story or at least the world it happens in.
The book is totally worth the time listening to. The only thing I had to do to enjoy it was speeding up the narrator she was to slow for me or something.
Give the story a chance even if you think it's confusing in the beginning it will all be clear soon and if you don't figure it out yourself it will be.
The author has great idea for this story and work's it well.
the narrator is good if you speed her up a little 1.15 worked for me.
