About this listen

In this 8th book installment of the Jackson Blackhawk series thriller, Sam Lee Jackson brings the suspense and intrigue with his main characters to an all-new joy ride that fans are raving about.

Blackhawk is Shot.
Blackhawk had pulled off a feat he’d never done before. He got himself shot. In the past Jackson and Blackhawk had done specialty jobs for the Colonel or for someone the Colonel recommended. When he told Jackson he would be gone for a while, Jackson didn’t think a thing about it. He thought it strange Blackhawk had told no one else. Not ever Elena. Jackson had not heard a word for over three weeks. Then, in the middle of the night his phone hums. It’s not a number he recognizes but for some reason he answers anyway. It is Blackhawk. “I’m at the top of your hill where you park your car and I’ve been shot. You better hurry.”

Cyber-Hacker, Madame Scaramouche
Blackhawk had been hired to protect a young girl who was one of the top five cyber-hackers in the world. One of five who could break the Chinese’s most powerful hacking machine. A machine capable of taking down a third world sized country. She was so young looking she could have passed for fifteen. If you have ever marveled at a three-year-old girl or boy who could sit at a piano and knock out Chopin’s Fantaisie Impromptu then you might understand how this girl could code very complex things at the same tender age. Throughout her world she was known as Madame Scaramouche.
The girl was in danger. There was one side that wanted her to hack the machine or wanted to sell her to those that wanted to hack the machine. And then there were the Chinese themselves. But now the word was that the machine was in Mexico City and was for sale. But no one would buy it if they couldn’t make it work. The girl was hired by a group that wanted to be sure the thing worked before they bought. Blackhawk was hired to protect her with his life.
When they arrived in Mexico City Blackhawk and the girl came quickly to the same conclusion. They had been duped. They ran. Back on the U.S. side of the border Blackhawk was shot as they escaped. Though wounded, Blackhawk held on until the girl dumped him at the top of Jackson’s hill. Then she disappeared. Jackson called in a favor from the Jefe of the Valdez Cartel and Emilio Garza sent a coronary surgeon, who was illegally in the country, to treat Blackhawk. Jackson moved Blackhawk into his guest bedroom and over the next several weeks helped him convalesce.
Just when Blackhawk was showing good progress guess what? Yep, Madame Scaramouche pops up again. This time with no money, nowhere to go and an even more murderous gang of cyber terrorists on her tail.

Sam Lee Jackson’s writing style is described as:
“If you put Spenser, Travis McGee, and Reacher in a mixing bowl what came out would look like this.” If you like these authors than you will love the Jackson Blackhawk series, this is the 8th book in the series.
