Helpful Tips, but Lacks Depth in Execution
This book is a helpful resource for anyone who wants to improve their communication skills, overcome stage fright, and give engaging presentations. It explains important principles of effective speaking and offers practical tips to build confidence and improve delivery. However, the content sometimes feels too basic, touching on important topics without exploring them in detail.
The strategies provided are useful, but a better-organized and more comprehensive approach would improve the material. Including real-world examples or step-by-step exercises could help turn abstract ideas into practical guidelines that readers can use. The writing is engaging and easy to read, making the material accessible. However, for those who want to develop their public speaking skills further, the book does not fully meet expectations. It is a good starting point but lacks the depth and detailed guidance that more advanced learners might need.

Finally Feeling Confident Speaking in Public
I've always struggled with public speaking, so I picked up this audiobook hoping for practical advice, and it really delivered. One of the most helpful parts for me was the section on using body language to feel more confident—it made such a difference in how I present myself. I also shared some of the tips on structuring a speech with my son, who gets nervous before class presentations, and he said it helped him feel more prepared. The book breaks things down in a way that feels doable, even if speaking in front of a crowd has always felt intimidating.

Help to speak with confidence
I, like a lot of people, find public speaking frightening. Right away, I liked how this book reassured me that being a great speaker is more about learning the right techniques than being a natural. The step-by-step methods seem doable, and I appreciated the mix of practical advice and personal insights. A few sections felt a little basic if you’ve already done some speaking coursework, but they act as helpful reminders if anything. This book gives you solid tools to improve public speaking.

Completely changed my outlook on public speaking!
Public speaking used to be my biggest fear—I would freeze, stumble over my words, and avoid speaking in front of others at all costs. This audiobook completely changed that for me. It doesn’t just offer generic advice; it provides practical, step-by-step strategies that helped me break through my fear and develop real confidence. The section on overcoming the psychological barriers of public speaking was especially impactful, giving me the tools to manage my anxiety and shift my mindset.
Beyond confidence, this book also helped me refine my delivery as i began more confident giving work presentations. Learning how to use body language, storytelling, and structured frameworks made my presentations not just bearable, but actually engaging. The techniques for handling Q&A sessions were a game-changer, making me feel prepared instead of panicked. If you’ve ever struggled with public speaking, this audiobook is an absolute must—accessible, encouraging, and truly transformative.

Public Speaking Skills
Speaking in Public was something I was not good at as a child. I never get to talk in public, not at work or in a group. The only place I was allowed to talk in groups of people was at church worship if I was assigned to speak for a talk about the bible. The audiobook brings skills and knowledge, inspiring you to understand public speaking where we can find our voice. I believe we all have the power to deliver unforgettable presentations if we prepare and give it with all our heart. I like the tips and practical strategies the author’s guide gave us for our confidence.
