Publisher's summary

You might have heard the popular phrase, “What you see is what you get”. That phrase suggests that our view of the world inhibits our capability to experience it. Some would debate with the fact that an individual who has never experienced love in their lives has a massive deal of difficulty searching, keeping, or supporting an excellent relationship. In the same way, if you have grown up in hopeless poverty, it takes a huge deal of personal change before you could live along with abundance effortlessly.

In a world loaded of concentration, mental models are the strongest argument for implementing a more multidisciplinary methodology. The idea behind the mental model is that wide exposure to an extensive spectrum of the issue allows you to influence the most practical understanding from each, allowing you to make better choices. Once you place yourself at the intersection of numerous disciplines, you establish the power to connect seemingly unconnected dots in a manner, which most are otherwise not capable of exploring.

Mental Models is an audiobook designed to upgrade your thinking along with the best, most practical and powerful tools, so you have the right one on hand. This audiobook will outline the most versatile, multipurpose mental models you can utilize today to enhance your productivity, decision-making, and to help you clearly perceive the world around you. In this audiobook, you will explore what forces administer the universe and how to concentrate your efforts so you could connect them to your own benefit, instead of struggling with them.

Today is a perfect time that you boost your mental toolbox. It covers ideas from different disciplines like social science, literature, business, psychology, decision-making, statistics, social science, and more.

If all of this sounds like your ideal audiobook, then, stress no more! Buy this audiobook and also learn all...and get it now!

Nice one listen book

I learned lots from this book. Mental models will help you think critically, make better decisions, learn to focus on the process and not the outcome as well as fill you with the knowledge that you were not taught in school. Great huh!

This book is excellent.

I was skeptical that he would be able to make a book like this work, but I was pleasantly surprised by his ability to provide high yield content in a succinct manner. I wish he was able to provide a few more concrete examples for the models, but that would also make for a longer listen . I also think he needed to provide more references. Most of the ideas are repackaged common sense, so their original sources would be hard to track down, but it’s best-practice to give credit where possible. Overall, this book is worth your time. I even took notes that I plan to reference in the future.

Great listen book

I am longtime listeners of Shane's Farnam Street blog so was very excited to hear that he was coming out with volume one of his new series. While the content is similar in theme to Shane's blog, I think Shane and co. do a great job bringing the mental models to life with additional examples, scenarios and color. Have already recommended to several friends and colleagues. I think this will be a fabulous set of volumes once completed and will be a must-have reference tool.
