Publisher's summary

Imagine a helpless, pregnant 16-year-old who's just been yanked from the serenity of her home and shoved into a dirty van. Kidnapped. Alone. Terrified.

Now forget her....

Picture instead a pregnant, 16-year-old, manipulative prodigy. She is shoved into a dirty van and, from the first moment of her kidnapping, feels a calm desire for two things: to save her unborn son and to exact merciless revenge.

She is methodical, calculating, scientific in her plotting. A clinical sociopath? Leaving nothing to chance, secure in her timing and practice, she waits for the perfect moment to strike. Method 15/33 is what happens when the victim is just as cold as the captors.

The agents trying to find a kidnapped girl have their own frustrations and desires wrapped into this chilling drama. In the twists of intersecting stories, one is left to ponder: Who is the victim? Who is the aggressor?

All a Thriller should be and Much More

I am an avid consumer of the psycologic thriller and this one hits all the notes and asks us new questions about how we label people that don't fall within the DSM's tidy definitions. The author doesn't just decide a character is a sociopath - she invites us to wonder if all sociopaths fall within the modern guidelines and has us questioning whether under the right circumstances, they do have proper emotional responses and using clever backstories for the characters, presses on to ask: Can having a lack of emotion, when called for, enrich a person rather than diminish him or her. I'm not really doing the srory justice but it is thrilling, clever, and unique. The characters have layers that unravel as the story rockets toward a touching conclusion.

Love this book.

This book was so good I'm not sure I want to read any of her other ones as I'm not sure they can compare. Oh who am I kidding this one was impossible to put down. Lisa, Lou, Lola, not to mention chicken farmer Boyd. This is a must read of any true crime junkie.

Brilliant

The main character of this book is intriguing, complex, and an overall joy to read about. Sherlock Holmes meets MacGyver, but as a teenage girl. I would say that if you aren't a fan of detail, this may be a bit off-putting. But the fluid nature of the story leaves you anxious to continue at each stop.

The narrator does a tremendous job capturing the main character, however leaves a bit to be desired on the male characters. It's not a problem, and not a reason to remove a star. Just a critique.

When the suspense won't let you put it doen....

Sometimes you find somebody you can't put down. Here you go. A nicely twisted set of plot line s.

Enjoyed this book

Even though it was a little strange, I quite enjoyed the story. The FBI team seemed extremely incompetent, the victim pretty much did most of the actions. Allyson Ryan was great in her performance. This is my 2nd book by this author and will be looking more from her.
