About this listen

There’s so much to see and do at a carnival!

There’s the smell of carnival treats like funnel cakes and cotton candy.

Games that give you a chance to dunk the sheriff or win a stuffed teddy bear.

Don’t forget the Ferris wheel ride.

And yes, there’s that unpleasant business about the murdered man lying on the ground in the parking lot.

When Linc and Brigid agree to host a chili booth at the Summer Carnival, they never thought the day would end in discovering one of their B & B guests, the popular host of the online travel show, Take Five, murdered in the parking lot.

But was Micha really all that popular? Someone, actually a lot of people, certainly didn’t think so, and it’s up to Brigid and Sheriff Davis to figure out which one them hated Micha enough to kill him.

And it never hurts to have a huge Newfoundland dog help you track down a murderer, particularly when they can’t be found!

This is the 12th book in the Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery series by a USA Today best-selling author and Amazon all-star.

A well-written story from a very good author

Murder at the Carnival (Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery #12), my sixth read/listen from author Dianne Harman and my first read & the twelfth book in the highly enjoyable Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery series. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Becky Boyd's excellent narration adds to an excellent book's enjoyment. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Nice clean cozy mystery!

Fun clean cozy mystery! In this series of books the murder/crime starts right at the beginning of the book. Then I love how the author introduces numerous possible suspects in the beginning, as well. As the story progresses you are able to weed out the suspects along with the main characters. A nice short listen at just over four hours. Very good narrator. Check out this author’s other books in this series, as well as her other series!

Fun cozy mystery

Murder at the Carnival is a fun, clean, cozy, mystery. The characters are realistic and great and I love ‘catching up’ with them in every book. The narrator has a pleasant voice and gave a wonderful performance.

Carnival of danger

This is another great read by this wonderful author. It was different as in we knew who was getting killed. And basically, no wonder he was going to be murdered. He was awful. Everyone had a reason to want to Murder the guy. So it was fun trying to guess who and why. I never did figure it out lol. I think you would love this book. If you like audiobooks, this one has a great narrator. She brought it alive.

Really Good!

I really liked listening to this audiobook! The book described the murder and then detailed all the suspects, including their reasons for possibly having committed the crime. The murder victim wasn't known for being a nice person. A lot of people had a reason to hate him. The identity of the murderer kept me guessing until the end. The narrator had a nice voice.

One of the suspects was a sexual assault victim. The book had some brief descriptions of the assault. It wasn't as cozy as the previous books in the series. However, it is important that awareness of such incidents are discussed, and I'm glad that author Dianne Harman had the courage to tastefully portray the assault and impact upon the victim.

This audiobook had happy endings. Recipes are included and read aloud at the end.

Excellent

Always delightful and with good narration by Becky. The characters and the setting of a carnival seemed real. Having a B & B with guests they reconsider the man who had been murder. Enjoyed, and Given audio for my voluntary review
