Delightful!

Having this great story read to you by Kenneth Branagh was most enjoyable. I thought his varying voices for the characters was flawless and entertaining. The story truly came to life.

Murder on the Orient Express

I love this book! I saw the movie before I listened to the book. All the characters are great and the story line is awesome. I listened to this book while I was at work and it helped passed the time.

captivating and well read

I enjoyed it very much. I listen on my commute to and from work--I found myself not wanting to get out of my vehicle once I arrived, just so I could continue listening.

A brilliant classic extraordinarily well told

The story has stood the test of time and remains a top thriller. Most importantly, as with Death on the Nile, Branagh adds astonishing talent to the reading, moving from accent to accent, character to character, with effortless pace and clarity. Bravo!

Great mystery

Kept me guessing until the end! Nice short listen with a great performance by Kenneth Branagh. He was great at the several different characters, even made the several different accents believable.

A Perfect Read Apart from the Americans

I'm a great admirer of Kenneth Branagh as an actor and was thrilled to get his reading of my most re-read Agatha Christie. His reading is of course first rate so far as Poirot and the Europeans, but the American accents on Mrs. Hubbard and Hector MacQueen are a distracting absurdity that really breaks your focus every time it occurs. You're no longer listening to the text but at that weird verbal mash many Brits do as an American accent. This is surprising in that Branagh did a superb California accent 25 years ago in Dead Again. I can't imagine what happened, but it's not good.
Speaking of Mr. MacQueen, Christie repeats many times what a likable and affable young man he is. Perhaps Branagh was thinking of his movie casting, because none of that comes through.

Classic story, amazing performance

Not going to go into the story much. It's a classic, it's well done, if you like mysteries you should check it out. Kenneth Branagh's performance is extraordinary, he's excellent at voices, and I particularly like his Poirot.
