A number one Amazon best seller

A girl on a path to infamy. A mage on a path to darkness.

Loren is on her way to becoming the woman of her dreams: Nightblade, a warrior of the darkness and a champion of the light. But powerful enemies hunt her across the kingdom while she searches in vain for her lost friends.

At her side is Jordel, a Mystic who seems to know more about Loren than she would wish - and something about her powerful dagger. But Loren has much to learn about Jordel’s order, and not all of it is good.

Loren wishes only to find her friends and evade the King's law. But she will have to decide whether to flee Underrealm's problems, or stand and fight them - and on that decision may rest the fate of all who dwell in the nine lands.

"People should check out Garrett, he is an excellent vlogger and writer." (Hank Green)

"Robinson is a skilled author, particularly when creating interesting female characters. He has oodles of talent and is destined for great things." (Shen Hart, TheReviewHart.com)

The Author's Take on Mystic

One of my favorite things about the Underrealm audiobooks is that that they are read by Garrett himself. A talented voice actor in his own right, Garrett can bring the characters to life in a way that other narrators can't, simply because he is privy to so much more information than others. I can't count the number of audiobook series I've listened to with frequent pronunciation inconsistencies, especially in the fantasy genre, and though it is a minor thing, it is nevertheless frustrating. You won't find that issue here, Garrett knows his characters better than anyone, and his love for the world shines through in every syllable.

I will confess that Mystic has never been my favorite book of Underrealm, but it's not because it's a bad book by any means. The problem is that Garrett continues to surpass himself in one book after another, and while I love Mystic, Darkfire dives deeper into my favorite characters, Yerrin is better still, and Blood Lust is a near-masterpiece.

Nightblade was our introduction to Loren's story, but like many of Garrett's books, it left us with more questions than answers. Just who is Jordel, the mysterious man in a red cloak that agrees to help Loren escape Cabrus? What are the magestones that the merchant Damaris trafficked? What is the story of Loren's dagger? I won't promise that all of the questions are answered here, but it's certainly a start. Garrett calls this series the Nightblade Epic, and he couldn't be more right. After two books and nearly twenty hours of listening, it's clear that this story is still beginning.
