Two thumbs up

This has been a good book from beginning to end. I enjoy the way the new characters are being introduced and intertwined into the main plot.

Home is Worth Fighting For

Good ending to a good story. Epic winner take all battle for home in this great story. Just a bunch of survivors trying to find and keep their forever home. West TN is the battleground of this story. Good guys have a camp and bad guys want it. Fight to the finish with some war strategies shared.

Strong characters

This is the second book in the No Direction Home series. In my review of the first book I focused on the excellent character development. I'm happy to say that this strength carried through into this book and made for a very enjoyable continuation of the series.

I won't add any spoilers, but I will say that the survivors have to deal with the threat which was cultivated in the first book.

Rare: Better than book 1 in the series

It is odd when book 2 is better than book 1.
Usually book 2 is just leading up to book 3. New characters were introduced and situations fed well into eachother.

Very, very contagious

This entire series is just amazing. There is so many different things to like in the first book and the second just picks up right where the first leaves off. We still follow our awesome characters from the first book but the addition of some very unlikely characters give this one some diversity and spice. I really like them all and love to hate the villans too. All the characters, even the bad ones are so well developed that you definitely care for them or at the very least feel some emotion toward them. The plot does not mess around either. It is fast paced and a lot happens. Just when you think you can relax something else comes up. I love the descriptions of the lands and universe that the author has created in this post apocalyptic world. The narration is great and I have come to expect nothing less from Kevin Pierce (The Voice of the Apocalypse). Pacing, fear and everything in between makes this performance great. Even his female voices are great. What a treat. My only complaint is that is that some of the characters from book 1 get a little lost and shoved to the background in this book. Let's hope they make a better appearance in the next installment. Great addition to the series.

My favorite EOW series ever

The characters are as diverse as the apocalyptic problems they face. I laughed, I cried and I was scared all at the same time.

nothing new.

same old story line. none of the good guys are in any real danger. seems like all the girls went with dad shooting a couple times and now somehow in high stress are as deadly as spec ops.
for an end of the world this is disappointing
