Publisher's summary

What happens when a man starts life as a corpse?

Two hundred years ago, Frank Victorsson awoke as a semi-dead, monstrous abomination reanimated by his hubris-ridden father, Victor Frankenstein. But Frank refused to become the infernal hate his father spewed at the world. He walked away from his origins - and into a small, Minnesota town overflowing with magic. Enter the uniquely magical world of Northern Creatures with the first three stories:

Monster Born: The Nordic elves of Frank’s new home call him family. The werewolves call him friend. And when the town’s vampires disappear and innocents die, Frank realizes the demon responsible might be the one force on Earth faster and stronger than him - and the one foe capable of pulling to the surface his long-suppressed rage.

Vampire Cursed: Frank thought the demon vampire unleashed from the Land of the Dead had turned to ash. Then, the horses vanished, and the corpses began to appear. When an inexplicable fog rolls into town, Frank realizes the evil infesting his town has grown deadlier than any monster his father created - and it wants to suck Frank dry....

Elf Raised: Werewolves, vampires, and witches have been allowed to cause problems in Arne Odinsson’s domain, and the other Elven Courts want an explanation. Arne and his people must defend themselves, but when Frank makes the mistake of offering his services to a trickster god, he and Remy Geroux must navigate not only angry spirits and elven politics, but also a horde worse than vampires - Las Vegas tourists.

Northern Creatures, where the man formerly known as Frankenstein’s monster navigates Nordic elves, vampires, and technologically advanced fae as the world staggers toward the one thing no one wants: Ragnarok. Enjoy Northern Creatures, the lovechild of Penny Dreadful and American Gods raised by its doting Midwestern aunt, Fargo, today.

Bargain 3 for 1 book

Story starts strong in book 1, however, is uneven from there. It's good enough to hold interest,

Must Read

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was surprisingly good! I love all the characters! The elves can be a little hard to straighten out but
was a great set! I couldn’t put it down. When the last book ended, I was like wait!?!?! what happens
with Franks Love Emily!! I need to know. So, I guess I have to find a way to get the rest of the series.
A really good fantasy story. It has Elves, fae, vampires, werewolves, and spirits. I recommend to any
fantasy book lovers

Alfheim, new world elven enclave!

[1] Monster Born: I am an unsettled soul. I am Frank Victorsson, the abandoned son of a mad scientist, Victor Frankenstein. In a rage, I ran from my origins, racing in a sled with my hounds toward the midnight sun. The dogs ran until only Lizzy remained. Lizzy, the indomitable hound that saved my life and brought me to magic. Lizzy died shortly after the elves found me. Two hundred years ago I began to build a cairn for Lizzy worthy of her bright light. I add a stone from the pebbled lakeshore to the grave marker; a quartz chip here, an open agate geode there. The werewolves understood Lizzy’s soul. The two werewolf pack founders, Gerard and Remy Geroux, helped me choose the oak sapling, which they considered sacred, to mark Lizzy’s passing. To this day I continue to visit and add a stone to the cairn. Now, to the present, this magic place is located in Alfheim, Minnesota. Frank lives in a modern cabin with his hound Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The inhabitants of Alfheim live quietly and peacefully here. Arne Odinsson the king of the elves, Tony and Ivan Biderson the two vampires that run the library, Gerard and Remy Geroux the werewolf pack leaders, and Rose the one and only witch. The beautiful landscape and lakefront property did not go unnoticed. Tourists and wealthy property hunters arrived, the building of homes disrupting the serenity Frank had enjoyed. The elves also led a very secure and private life here in Alfheim. The glamour protected them and their surroundings from the eyes of the mundane, aka humans. The last time humans saw an unprotected elf, the entire community was put to the sword. If such an event would occur, it could be the end of Alfheim. Unexpectedly, an abrupt shift in the plotline takes place. Another story begins with a few of the same characters but seemingly unrelated to the tale so far. Rose, the witch who died by fire in the destruction of her cabin, gains plot importance. Within the ashes, Frank finds a book filled with blank pages, its purpose unknown at the time. Darkness enters Alfheim by a portal created innocently but ill-conceived and misused. This evil spirit, a suspected demon vampire, feeds on the anger and resentment within Frank against his father. Who or what this demon is and why it has focused on Frank is made clear shortly. The addition of this demonic character puts a whole new slant on the tale. I can say no more without giving away too much. In the Land of the Dead Frank discovers much of his father and his past. The demon vows to kill all the elves and werewolves. How will this turn out? Enter stage left; Radu the Handsome and Vlad the Impaler. This first volume of the series provides the background of Frank Victorsson and the community of Alfheim. It’s an introduction to a wonderful fantasy tale and a unique take on Victor Frankenstein’s creation.
[2] Vampire Cursed: Emperor Marcus Aurelius returned unharmed. He not only returned, but he found a young woman, Elle Jones at the lakeshore. Frank was smitten. Elle was not only beautiful, but she had no fear of Frank’s size or looks, nor did she flinch at his cold touch. This confounded and fascinated Frank as this was quite contrary to people’s reaction to him. They walked and talked, discussed magic, and stopped at the snack truck for coffee and muffin. Elle confided in Frank that she and her home were protected by a concealment enchantment, which would cause people to forget her once she was out of sight. Frank snapped a photo of Elle and Marcus Aurelius with his phone. They parted with the assurance of seeing each other tomorrow. He would never forget Elle. Sheriff Ed Martinez spoke to Frank, telling him that Gerard and Remy Geroux found no trace of his brother, suspecting he may have “poofed” from his injuries. Not likely. He also mentioned there were several calls concerning missing animals, one found torn apart, and an entire herd of horses spooked with many still missing. The feeling of dread was unavoidable. What did this mischief portend? So much for the setup of the story. The darkness has returned to Alfheim believed to be caused by a low demon. Frank feels a responsibility to help if it has anything to do with his brother. The elves may be horrified by what they ultimately discover. You may recall the final sentences from the epilogue in the previous volume.
[3] Elf Raised: The return of Marcus Aurelius and Elle Jones. This may sound ridiculous, but I was so upset when Elle came upon Frank and Benta the Nameless on Frank’s deck. What must have gone through Elle’s mind at that moment? The sorrow, the betrayal, the many decades, perhaps centuries, of suffering due to the concealment enchantment. When she stated, “I’m your…” then Benta appeared. It felt hollow, utterly dismal. Have you ever had the misfortune to feel that way? I have. I was so dismayed that I was ready to chuck the rest of the series in the trash. Luckily, volume three picked up at that same pivotal point, making the outcome just a tad better. Perhaps Frank sending Marcus Aurelius with Elle exhibit a modicum of understanding. Marcus Aurelius had better sense. Anyway, the elves of Alfheim would reset the magic and clear the air of the vampire evil. Some of the other Elven Enclaves were not happy with what had been going on in Alfheim and wanted Arne to explain himself. They decided a Conclave in Las Vegas was to their liking. Only select Magicals were invited, or commanded, to attend. Frank and Remy were to go early to recon the area and look for someone for Arne. Porsha Elizabeth is the target, an ex-inhabitant of Alfheim who left a long time ago. From Remy’s description and memory, a succubus, but she is much more. Adding to Frank’s dilemma, a spirit creature named Raven and two Kitsune. The Conclave closes out the story. I was hoping for some closure to the Elle issue but all we get is a slight hint from the Kitsune. The series is long, as my review, but it is three books. All-in-all it’s an interesting tale with some mythology tidbits thrown in. I did enjoy it and look forward to the remaining books when Audible gets them. Frankenstein's Son Paranormal Adventures

Frank is Frankenstein's reanimated corpse son who chooses to live life protecting those he cares about. He lives in the forest near a lake and is protected by Elves who are glamored in the town nearby. He was taken in by them when he was in his twenties and they taught him how to control his rage. This town is full of paranormal beings and each story in this series is action-filled with fighting vampires, witches, wolf spirit, other paranormals, and even love. There are many twists and turns that you don't want to stop listening to the stories unfolding. Absolutely love these stories and hope there are more to come!

mediocre trash

evidently when victor made his monster he forgot to give him both a spine and a dick.

im only a few hours in and this book is just boring banal trash. the characters flat and lifeless with little actual logic to them, and of course add in whiny squalling 8 year old child that is screeching everytime they are on.

wheres franks from MHI to solve this shit.
