Publisher's summary

From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes the ninth installment in her Brantley Walker: Off the Books series.

With wedding plans underway, Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are attempting to create some balance between work and life. After a busy summer, they’ve finally slowed down enough to take a breather. At least until the hacker extraordinaire—a.k.a. Jessica James—jinxes them. The next thing they know, they’re in New York City, tracking down one of their own.

With rocky relationships between task force members on the rise, the mission can only be described as complicated, if not entertaining. But not for everyone. For Reese, bad memories are stirred up, forcing him to face his past.

A trip that is relatively straightforward in scope turns out to be anything but. Only when it’s obvious they’ve been sent off course does Brantley begin to question the motive.

Hooked with this series!

I love the found family in Off The Books team. The relationship is dynamic and it evolves naturally. JJ & Baz has come so far, as well as Reese and Brantley, but also Travis and Brantley's brother's relationship. The storyline also evolved from how it started, much like how life evolves. And I think that's the best thing about this series.

This one ended with the cliffy and I can't wait to know what's next!

This series is fantastic!

This ensemble cast of characters never gets old. As a matter of fact, it just keeps getting better. Each book, a different case, but the relationships between the Off the Books characters is what keeps me coming back for more. First, Reese and Brantley. Planning their wedding and thinking they have a lull with work changes when they are called to go to New York. And it's not a normal case. It's one that has them searching for one of their own security agents, Decker. This is not what is expected for sure, and has Reese on edge as he begins to face his past. JJ and Baz are wallowing in their own happiness as they wait for their baby. JJ has Brantley and Reese's wedding planned, and life could not be better, right? Never a dull moment, and the cliffhanger has me aching for more! Suspense, passion, excitement, Nicole Edwards brings it every time.

Tor Thom and Fiona Clare bring all these amazing characters to life. Tor Thom is the voice of all the men in this fabulous series and he keeps consistent and fits each one with the perfect sound. From a midwestern twang to an alpha over protective male, he is spot on with each one. Fiona Clare comes in as JJ, and she is fantastic. All the attitude JJ has plus her passion for Baz are coming out in full color! Loved these two and can't wait until the next one!

Gripping

Each time I read a book in this series I think I have found my favourite. Yet again Nicole Edwards has delivered an entertaining, well written character driven story that will reel you in and keep you captive from the first chapter to the last.
Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis are planning their wedding, and all appears to be quiet, that is until they learn that one of their own, Decker hasn’t checked in and could be missing.
When Brantley, Reese, and members of their team head to New York, complications will arise and for Reese it will bring back memories he would prefer to forget as he is forced to confront his past.
Off Course is a steamy, romantic, fast paced story with humour. suspense and plenty of heat and don’t get me started on the ending of this book. Told in multiple points of view, this story will keep you on the edge of your seat whilst reading.
Tor Thom and Fiona Clare did a fabulous job with the narration. They brought the drama and passion to life.
