Too much repetition from Book One

I picked up the two audiobooks of this two-volume series during Audible’s annual sale. This second book contains way too much duplication from book one, in addition to a lot of quoted portions of Pride and Prejudice. The plot isn’t too bad but does contain flaws.

finally!!!

I'm not a fan of flashbacks, but this has provided a great catch up and backstory. Finally, the villain meets his just deserts, but not without more drama and villainous acts!!! Great ending. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Ms Amy Cecil is brilliant. I absolutely love her work. This series is an excellent PNP what-if literature out there. I have listened to this series several times already.

The narration is spot on.

I should have listened to other reviewers

This story is book 2 in a series and I purchased them together. I wish I hadn’t. Book 1 was a unique twist and I hoped this would continue the tale in a different way as well. I found myself skipping the middle of the book entirely as it was redundant. I knew who the villain was, and why, and the flashbacks to the prior book were too much to go through again.
