Publisher's summary

Do you want a direct experience of the Reality Beyond the Physical?

Many call out-of-body (OBE) experiences "astral projections" because of the unusual perceptive nature of these experiences. But there's more than metaphysics involved in OBE. Serious scientists are interested in this phenomena, and it has been studied by both the USA and Russia. The book provides proven step-by-step methods to help you safely expand your conscious awareness beyond the limits of your physical self. One thing is certain - exploring out-of-body reality opens you to an exciting new way tap into your higher levels of consciousness and true inner potential.

A great audio-book on the subject of OOBE's

When I was very young, I experimented with OOBE's quite a bit after finding a book about it in the library. I was fascinated with the idea of leaving my body and being able to go anywhere I wanted. When I was asked to give my honest opinion of this audible book in exchange for a copy, the fascination was back full force!

This book goes into much more detail than the book I found 40 years ago. The techniques for achieving OOBE's is very detailed by author Dr. Jill. You sure can tell she has many years of first-hand experience with the subject. Yet I found the material very easy to follow along without too much psychological terminology.

I really enjoyed listening to this material rather than reading it. The narrator Arika Rapson has a very pleasant and soothing voice that was perfectly suited to this book. I also liked that I was able to pause the audio and experiment with the different techniques given to find the ones that seemed most natural for me. Overall I think this is a great audio-book on the subject as well as a great experience listening to the material.

Would You Like To Swing On A Star?

First let’s just get this out on the table I am a novice on this journey. I listened to the book because I was interested in the theory not that I believed in the concept. I did not come necessarily to condemn but I was skeptical to say the least.

I was very surprised when I found myself not only listening but nodding my head in agreement and occasionally making sounds out loud that would in most circles qualify as tacit approval LOL. The author is quite well versed in the subject matter and amazingly enough broke it down to a level that even I could get.

I really like the way personal antidotes and thoughts are filtered in to the very technical data that naturally is a part of a subject matter such as this. Now most authors I would be leery of as a rule of thumb and I was with this one to begin with. But .Dr. Jill is obviously very devoted to the subject matter and makes it difficult not to give the theory plausible points.

She breaks it down step by step so if you are interested in trying this out I would recommend starting with this book. You will at least feel safe, comfortable and secure as you start your journey.

I giving the book five stars because I think it does deliver what is promised. I know I am much more informed about the subject than I was prior to reading the book. I’m also considering taking a trip, I’ll let you know how that one goes.

Clean and Concise explanations of OBE

This one book explains much about OBE and consciousness.

With decades of her own professional research, along with information drawn from other authors and researchers of consciousness, the brain, and specifically the Out-of-Body experience, this one book very quickly and easily defines and describes the essential information to know.

Because Jill Ammon-Wexler names and credits other researchers and authors as she describes various findings or techniques, this one book can give a reader a lead to other specific areas to be learned about by seeking out other authors or topics as well.

For people who have already read many of the authors mentioned in this book, it is very handy to have summaries and comparisons side-by-side of various techniques or ideas in this short book.

While I enjoy Robert Monroe's, William Buhlman's, Tom Campbell's, Robert Bruce's, and many other's OBE-related books, it is very handy to have the essential ideas distilled down to the main ideas that are needed.

Background only, not 'how to'

What would have made A Beginner's Guide to Out-of-Body Experiences better?

The title is somewhat misleading - This is not a 'how to' book but more of a 5 step guide to further reading material you can buy from the author 'for personal transformation'.

Not a book but a sales tool

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

It was misleading, this is not a guide book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jill Ammon-Wexler again?

No

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Arika Rapson?

No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Dissappoinment

Any additional comments?

This is not a book but a sales tool for the author's other work. This should not be allowed.
