Publisher's summary

Second in the PEACE COMPANY novel series by Roland J. Green.
For fans of Starship Troopers, Battlestar Galactica and Warhammer.

Peace Force hits the jungle of planet Greenhouse...to stop an inter-species bloodbath.

Trial by fire...in the Mountains of Steel!

Megatrouble is brewing on the planetoid hellhole they call Greenhouse. Two rival nations, long-separated by 700 kilometers of vermin-infested jungle, are about to be connected by a mountain railroad—and a bloodbath is predicted. Terrorist attacks and racial hatred already threaten to sever this desperately needed lifeline.

This is a job for the commandos of the battle cruiser Ark Royal. Only the Peace Company have a chance of coming between the shaggy renegade Hrothmi and the ancestral enemies. Because in the war-torn galaxies of the 24th century, firepower is the price of peace.

Stumbling narration

I recommend the ebook/print version. This time the virtual narrator sounded pitiful trying to replicate the ripping cloth sounds of an automatic rifle. Don’t get me started on the abbreviation for the “good guys” ff’ers. The story was good enough to keep me listening, and I enjoyed it.
