Publisher's summary

From NY Times and USA Today best-selling author Lori Ryan

To keep her, he'll have to gamble it all!

When Jill Walsh's first husband's love for her simply fizzles and dies, Jill knows she'll never again trust that love can last, and the pain you go through when that love dies isn't something she's willing to go through again.

After Andrew Weston's first love betrayed him in the most brutal way possible, he knows he might fall in love again someday, but there's no way he'll ever make himself vulnerable to another woman by confessing those feelings, if he does.

Andrew and Jill are the two most unlikely people to fall in love, but fate has a different ending in mind for these two, and when Andrew discovers his love for Jill, he knows the only way to get her to stay with him forever is to offer her an iron-clad penalty clause in a prenuptial agreement. He stays with her forever, or he loses everything he owns. The millions he's worked for, his property, his cars, everything. Now he just needs to hope that's enough to hold on to Jill forever.

Penalty Clause is book two of the Sutton Capital series, but it can be listened to as a standalone audiobook.

Love the Sutton Family

Would you consider the audio edition of Penalty Clause to be better than the print version?

While listening to the audio book, I get more of the emotions of story, than reading it. A slower pace of listening than reading.

What did you like best about this story?

Loved the perfect blend of romance, mystery and the Sutton family. Love the Sutton Capital series, the story of Jill and Andrew will keeping you listening until the end. Andrew had a crush on Jill when growing up, but she was a few years older, so he did not act on it. Fast forward and they meet up again. Jill is just coming out of a bad marriage, and not looking for anything serious. They have a definite chemistry, they can't keep
fighting off. As the relationship develops, there is a girl, Tersea, who does not want to see go any further. She wants Andrew for her self. There is a perfect blend of , romance, mystery and the Sutton family that makes this the perfect read. I highly recommend this audiblebook.

Penalty Clause by Lori Ryan

Would you consider the audio edition of Penalty Clause to be better than the print version?

No. For me it is the story, so I love reading or hearing. Although because I read so fast hearing the book helps me remember the story long after I'm done with it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Andrew! He's a strong character. I love the way he romances Jill. When he had to save her from the danger she was in he didn't let anyone stand in his way. He realizes she is his world and nothing will stop him from getting to her.

What does Joey Pepin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Having the story read helps me to visualize the characters and scenery much better than when I read a book myself. Plus the change in voice with each character as I try to visualize how they look and act. I think Joey Pepin does a great job with this book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

I love Lori Ryan's books. She has such a great flow with her stories and it is easy to fall in love with each of her characters.

Narration Was Excellent

This book is currently known as Reuniting With The Billionaire. The narration
was good. The narrator was able to convey just the right amount of crazy in the stalker.

I guess it could be called a friend's to lovers book. Andrew and Jill had a past, as their families were acquainted, their grandparents lived next to each other, and they had known each other since they were teenagers.

Andrew and Jill both had bad past relationships that made them hesitant to fall in love. I don't think either of them anticipated one seriously crazy stalker, and one slightly obsessive ex being involved in their lives.

A fast paced, steamy romance, that at times, leaves you on the edge of your seat. Can Chad and Jennie figure out what is going on? Can Andrew and Jill out a stop to get ex? Will Andrew beat the clock and be able to find Jill in time? Take heart, Andrew and Jill get their HEA.

Another hit out of the park. Thoroughly enjoyed Andrew & Jill's story. Also great to revisit the characters of Sutton Capital. Only one problem I had. Who is Jerrod and where does he fit in with the other characters? I got Jason as the fire chief, didn't really understand why a fire chief would come out to an accident and had a dog. That whole scene was kind of hinky. Thst is the only reason not a five star.

To appreciate this story, Legal Ease should be read first.
