About this listen

My name is Peyton, and I have a charmed life. I live in a beautiful mansion on top of a hill and want for nothing. My father’s successful, and my mother’s devoted to seeing me and my siblings succeed… Oh, wait…that’s not my life at all. That’s my half-sister’s life. Until recently, I had no family, aside from my mom and dad. My life consisted of secrets, escape, two best friends, and most importantly, dance. But when my mom drops a bombshell on me, that we’re moving to her hometown hours away, all the secrets come out, including the fact that the man who I’ve called dad my whole life, is really my uncle. So now it’s a new school, new life, new town. And let me tell you, this town hates me. My life has never been a bed of roses, to begin with, but being here? It’s hell. My best friends are far away, my dance career is on hold, and the family drama is movie-worthy. The only thing that’s worth getting up for in the morning is my new friends, a group of guys who have made it their mission to put me under their wing. They bring me into their circle, determined to protect me and help me on my new path. But sometimes, we get in our own way. Sometimes, you can’t walk alone. Sometimes, the only way to live your life is to lean on the ones who love you. ***Peyton’s Path is a Contemporary Reverse Harem. Loved the story line

Hate the narration. Tough to follow sometimes. No emotion. Sometimes the sentences run together sometimes there were so many pauses I had to rewind to understand.

Honest and Raw

I remember when this book first came out, I fell in love with it. I drove my husband crazy talking about it and then waiting for the next one. I was instantly grabbed from the start. The way the Peytons life had been and the new direction it was taking was gripping. You felt like she was your best friend and you were right there with her.
From the friendships, relationships, family and betrayals, you're there. I absolutely love Kyler and Crew. Just saying. All the guys are amazing and great. The way they accept her immediately is awesome.
The struggles that Peyton goes through are heart wrenching. How this young woman was still standing and cracked one liners is beyond me. It's nothing out of reach or far fetching. It is all relatable amd doable.
I have read this series atleast 5 times a year. Now I get to listen to it. My husband now sees what I was so obsessed with. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Good story

I am not a fan of virtual voice but the story was really good. I did get a little annoyed that she was so angry with her besties but I completed understood why.

AI or text to speech

Book is great, Audible isn’t a person but instead a weird monitone AI or text to speech app. Not worth it.

Series is not finished, narration horrible

This series is not finished in print, let alone in audio. The virtual voice is horrible. Every single time there is a hyphen in the print, the voice says "minus". I cannot tell people apart by voice because they are all mechanical and the same. Words are pronounced incorrectly, and inflections are just plain weird. The heroine is a poor little Nell type of character, a fact she emphasizes constantly. The rubrics of the story are interesting, though. However, it's been years since the last book in the series, so far, was written. The author is currently known for not finishing any of her multiple series.
