Publisher's summary

Would you abandon your present for a second chance at your past?

Cecelia Reynolds has spent most of her life trying to forget the commitment-phobic man who broke her heart. It wasn't easy, but eventually she did it, or so she thought.

As Cecelia and her husband gather for a friend's wedding, her perfect world is thrown into complete turmoil. Even though it's been 20 years since she last laid eyes on Keith Emerson, all it takes is one glance for her to feel emotions she thought were long gone. When Keith ends up officiating the ceremony, she quickly realizes his message of love is directed at her, not the happy couple. But can she believe him?

We live our entire lives thinking we know ourselves. But do we ever really?

As secrets and lies cause Cecelia's world to spin completely out of control, she is forced to seek advice from the most unlikely ally. In the process, she must confront the demons of her past and the events that shaped her into the woman she is now. Will she finally learn the real meaning of love, friendship, and family?

While this book is a sequel to Plan Bea, it also works as a standalone.

Realistic Adult Drama At Its Finest!

Happily married, Cecelia Reynolds world is turned upside down when the judge presiding over her best friend’s wedding, turns out to be Keith Emerson, the man she walked out on years ago when he couldn’t commit.

All the feelings of abandonment and rejection come back to Cecelia with a vengeance. When Keith professes that he’s never gotten over Cee, her carefully constructed world begins to fall apart. Emotions that Cee buried long ago, stretching back to childhood surface and threaten to destroy everything she’s come to hold dear.

Plan Cee is an amazing story! It’s the sequel to Plan Bea but can be read as a standalone. You’ll need to put on your big girl panties to get through this story. It deals with weighty subjects and flawed people. In the end, it’s an adult love story that will tear your heart out, but leaves you with a sense of hope.

Hilary Grossman is such a good writer! You feel like you’re a fly on the wall, listening in on intimate conversations. It’s damn uncomfortable at times because you see the train wreck coming from a mile away and there’s nothing you can do but watch in horror as the inevitable happens.

Lisa Beacom narrates this nearly 8-hour audiobook and she outdid herself on this one! The story required a wide range of emotions and she nailed it every time, in this fully voiced production. Some scenes were so intense, I literally had to pause the audiobook! Plan Cee is a well-produced audiobook and the sound quality is first rate.

2017 has been a banner year for audiobooks, I’ve listened to several good stories this year. Plan Cee stands out as the best I’ve listened to so far and that’s saying something.

Narrator enticed me to keep listening!

Have you listened to any of Lisa Beacom’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. She is always very good at telling the story and helping the listener relate to the characters.

Any additional comments?

I fell in love with the characters in the book. They were very well developed. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing out the personality of each one. I physically felt the feelings of the characters as their thoughts and actions were being narrated. It was painful when I was heartbroken for them, and was even difficult to listen to at times for that reason. The narrator made me want to continue to listen, however. I found myself really honing in on the character of Cecelia and even healing some things from my own past that the perspective of this book helped me to resolve.

Well worth the credit.

Would you listen to Plan Cee again? Why?

Yes I would listen to Plan Cee again. It is somewhat riveting just to see what is going to happen.

What did you like best about this story?

I really like how this story shows how friends can be helpful and some can be a hinderance in you life.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when Cee talks to Anna's mother. Anna's mother really tells it like it is. Tough love in this case.

If you could take any character from Plan Cee out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Keith out to dinner and ask him what is wrong with you?

2nd book in the series and as good as the first!

What a story. It's so well written and narrated. It captures you and makes you love and hate certain characters all at the same time. Such a great look at how friends try to help you while you feel they are abandoning/turning on you. I love the way characters keep developing from the previous book. I am curious how Cee and Bryce move on in the future. So I hope there is another book.
