Being a victim is up to you!

it's a choice and a mindset. This is a wonderful book that simply puts victimhood into context and gives you the authority to change it.

Great material

Great material on personal responsibility, and using boundaries to assert oneself. The3 recording was short and sweet, and I will definitely listen to it again and again.

The narration was a bit like an interview, with many uhh's and ahh's. Unusual, and it deterred a bit from the book; but overall I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about assertiveness, and stepping out of the victim mentality.

Everyone on the planet should read or hear this

It has always been true that whatever media gets published/shown/recorded/gamed is under the control of those who are not looking out for the best interests of their readers/listeners/players. They have to feed on fear in order to get the sales, but this author was one who went outside the system to make sure that nobody changed a word. And he wrote this book when he was still a scientist, if that helps. However, he never sounds like a scientist. He sounds like a friend.

He talks about fear and inertia as exactly what they are, anathema to your life and your purpose in living. This is why and how he made a huge difference on this planet when alive, and still does. It's a very reasonable argument. It's kind of circular, not strictly linear. It's not a classroom lesson. It's done by an ex-professor and is talking to the little guy/regular person who doesn't have a lot of power or money. It's not boring or ever runs out of energy, has decent humor, and the tone is directed at everyone on the planet, not one group or type of person or culture.

It's what we need to hear about ourselves to help ourselves the most the fastest today, it isn't unkind. It talks about how to get around our individual failures and doubts that we all have. It's all about your choice and your control of your own life. This is essential reading/listening in 2022 and beyond. You can save yourself a lot of time and money by starting here.

Great distillation of the original book.

I read the book numerous times over the years and was looking for it in audio format. Note that although this is not an audio version of the book, it is the author discussing the principles outlined in the book in his own words and in a very relaxed and informal style. For me, it works as it will make it easy to revisit this principles on a regular basis.
