Publisher's summary

For a young victim of human trafficking, FBI Agent Nick Lawrence is the only hope.

Nick Lawrence rejoins his old unit, the FBI’s Violent Crimes against Children task force. The career move puts him in Austin, Texas - and onto the case of a young girl on the run. She has been thrust into a foreign land against her will. Armed only with a set of skills bestowed by her father, she embarks on a perilous journey to keep a promise - as she is hunted by a ruthless human trafficking ring.

Nick teams up with local law enforcement, intent on saving the girl and dismantling the criminal organization trying to reach her first. But as a greater conspiracy unfolds, Nick finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse. The opposition is more powerful than he could have imagined, and they’re intent on silencing him - and the girl - forever.

With his second installment in the Nick Lawrence series, Shea delivers a fast-paced, thrill-filled sequel to its well-received predecessor, Kill List.

I would listen to this again. Narrator was good.

5 hours condensed like a full length novel. What happened to the dog and his handler?

OUTSTANDING BOOK

Brian Shea delivers a great book in the Pursuit of Justice. The characters in this book are very easy to follow, and Brian keeps the plot from becoming too busy. Connor Goff is one of the best narrators I've listened to, and I'm excited about starting the 3rd book in the Nick Lawrence series.

Good storyline.

I enjoyed the story. But, I did not enjoy the performance. Too monotone making it sometimes boring and hard to stay with it.

Enjoyable.....

Thankfully I read the first book in the series, Killing List before I read this one. Not necessary, I guess, but you get more out of the story if you read in order. This one was very captivating and kept my interest, but just a tad less exciting than the Killer List. There was one aspect that I felt didn’t hold true considering how smart these FBI people are, but I guess you’ll figure it out yourself quicker than they did! Not sure if there is another in this series, but I’m all in if there is already! Like the fast pace and interesting subjects! Totally worth a credit!

Spellbound

My first time reading Brian Shea’s books. I read the Kill List first and was hooked. Pursuit of Justice was next in series. So happy that he reunited with Declan and Izzy. Totally enjoyed this book and now onto his third in the series Burning Truth. Great narration by Connor Geoff.

Fast Moving Read with Believable Plot

Book was an entertaining read. Story was sufficiently fast moving to maintain my interest through to the end. Subject matter was realistic and believable, and disturbing. Narration was excellent. Duration of the story was about right.
