Publisher's summary

After years of abuse for being different, Isa finally escaped his family by going to college. Or at least he thought he had, until he realized even moving to another state wasn’t enough to leave them behind.

Ultraconservative, harsh, and extremely controlling, they were determined to force him to conform to their ideals. Even in public, he couldn’t escape their fundamentalist views, and they sought to end his private life. So who was the silent giant who swept in and rescued Isa from being attacked by his sister? And why did he like to carry Isa around like his own personal stuffed toy?

Briar’s fascination with Isa was unusual, but so was the way their very souls seemed to communicate. The connection between them is so consuming, the pair are caught unaware when a meddling fairy decides to release a previously unknown spell binding Briar, causing unforeseeable, but fascinating consequences.

For a moment, Isa thought he had it all. Those few days of peace inspired the kind of hope he’d never allowed himself to hold on to, but with the return of his family, they could very well cost him the rest of his life.

A delightful addition to the series

I was sad when I opened the book to find it was not more Eli and Haruka, but quickly fell in love with Isa and Brier. Can’t wait to start the next book.

My first audiobook

I loved reading Quiet and knew I had to buy the audiobook. I took my time and listened a little bit each day over 4 days. It was so great to hear this wonderful story aloud by a great narrator. If you have already read the story, or even if you haven't, go ahead and purchase this audiobook. No regrets.

Fun and sweet

Interesting and entertaining read with exceptional narration. Look forward to further adventures at the E.U. [hopefully with more crossover with the various characters]

So Caring and Possessive!!

I am in love with the narration of this series! I did not think book one could be topped but I might have liked this one just tiny bit more! I adored Briar and Isa! Zachary narrated them to perfection. He captured the absolute essence of Briar bringing forth all his confused and out of control thoughts. Briar was a cinnamon roll, but when it came to Isa, he could not hold back his actions if something bad happened to him, or anyone else tried to touch him. Why was this so adorable and swoon worthy? I also swooned every time Briar carried Isa around! This story was a size difference heaven! I highly recommend the audible version as another thing Zachary did really well was the way he narrated when they were thinking and or hearing each other thoughts. It had that perfect dreamlike sound quality.

spectacular

Audio: Zachary Zaba takes this book to a whole new epic level. His Briar voice will melt your brain and make you long for each time his brain allows him to communicate. With each character, you are able to tell whose mind you are in with each of their distinct personalities. It was truly a magnificent job on his part bringing this whole cast to life.

Let's just say Briar takes the overprotective
mode to the next level, and wow, is it magnificent. Isa has been through enough pain to last a lifetime from a controlling family who think punishing a person will rid them of thoughts unpure in their eyes.
As soon as these two meet, it's inevitable that they will be together. Isa is able to calm the tism side of Briars brain. Briar is the solid rock of comfort. Isa needs to be his true beautiful self. This series is just on that side of fantasy where it is prevalent but not the main plot of the story. And you get a Hakura & Eli tease at the end, setting us up for more of their story!
