The law of the jungle reigns supreme.

A cryptic letter arrives at the Kwatalarian capital after Duchess Jacqueline Arienta Xavier has claimed her throne. Weeks after her mysterious disappearance, Jax's aunt has finally been spotted. The good news ends there. Saphire's spies report that Lady Amia is being held captive somewhere deep in the jungles of Zaltor. With tensions between Duke Percival Pettraud nearing their boiling point and Captain George Solomon off scouring the Beautraudian wilds, Jax decides to throw caution to the wind and sets out to rescue her aunt on her own.

Of course, her faithful friends Uma, Sabine, and Ziri insist on being at her side as Jax travels to the Duchy of Zaltor. A bloody civil war rages to the south as the Duchess makes her way to the Ancient Faith temple where her aunt was last seen. Her arrival sets off a series of calamitous events that threaten to upend the very stability of the realm.

Murder is always a royal affair, wherever the Duchess ventures to. Journey to Zaltor in Ravaged Reign, a Court of Mystery novel.

Just wow!

This book made me rethink how I want the series to end. So many changes, it kept me listen none stop.

Full of adventures and another great mystery.

The narrator did an amazing job as always. She has an unique way to give life to the characters.

Can’t wait for the next adventure of Jax!

Intense

The relationship between Jax and Perry (at the beginning) was tearing my soul apart. So many hidden agendas and evil forces afoot filled with corruption and betrayal that it's hard to know who's loyal and trustworthy and who's the enemy
disguised as a friend. Very suspenseful adventure that I'm greatly enjoying. Some very satisfying justice. Perry's growth was heartwarming. I hoping George finds his person. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

Amazing

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I had guessed that probably something happened to Jax by the title of the book. Boy was I surprised and happy to that it was not the case. I really felt for Jax when her Perry starts to push her away. Over the course of the series Sarah brings to light the many different ways and reasons someone murders another. Like the many shows around us dictate these same things Sarah brings a sense of class and honor and truth. I truly enjoy listening to her ducal series books. I absolutely love them. Such a great read and many twists and the way Jax figures out who is the killer is stunning!! Highly recommend!

Exactly what I wanted and hoped it would be

This book was exactly what I wanted and hoped it would be. I enjoyed it so very much.
It starts off with politics (Jax has ambitious plans for the Realm after all), but soon there is a mystery to be puzzled out.
George is off on his own adventure and I adored his story line! We get more insight into the history of the Realm of Virtues, and a new character, Saraphina, is introduced.
She is truly awesome! With her and Sabine and Uma stepping up their game, this book is chock full of girl power. (Jax and Siri also contribute to this of course!)

The thing I loved most about this book is also something I don’t want to spoil for you.
Let me just say.. if you’ve followed Jax and friends this far, you will absolutely love this book.
There will be mystery, adventure, romance, humor, excellent world and character building, amazing narration, some serious girl power, betrayal and heart warming moments.
A must listen!

For new readers, you have to read this series in chronological order.
You will not be able to follow, enjoy and appreciate everything you hear otherwise.
Start with ‘The Ducal Detective Mysteries’. It’s a wonderful collection of 5 books + a short story that together form the first book in the Court of Mysteries series.

This series is suitable for adults and young adults alike. (no sex and swearing, but also no cliché young adult tropes)
The series starts out relatively lighthearted, but gets more serious the more it progresses. I’d say the last couple of books are probably more appealing to adults.

I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.
