Publisher's summary

The Subversive Trilogy imagines a chilling and not-too-distant future when Christianity is outlawed in the United States.

After the devastating loss of the Sanctuary—and of her love, Taylor Nolan—Gemma Alcott settles in Winter’s Dam and takes up Letty Webb’s mantle, receiving weary subversives at the bookstore and offering them safety. The role gives her a purpose and a reason to get up every morning, but no matter how many people she saves, she can never bring back the people she’s lost.

Or can she?

When unknown assailants raid the bookstore in the middle of the night, capturing Gemma and her friends, she expects to be dragged to a detention center. But the kidnappers aren’t with the Task Force. They are former soldiers and police officers, and they’re part of a growing rebellion. Six months earlier, when Gemma hijacked the renouncements and made her bold declaration to the world, she planted the seeds of a revolution. And this rebel group has one mission:

To liberate the detention centers.

But when Elevation Ministry Center is bombed and megachurch Pastor David Ogden is shot, Gemma becomes the prime suspect in the attack. With the Task Force closing in on her, and powerful forces behind the scenes working to destroy the rebellion in its infancy, Gemma must decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice for freedom.

Because all freedom comes at a cost.

I'm stuck

I keep getting stuck. The story seems to be more about Gemma and Taylor than anything else. Plus, Taylor isn't a Christian. Why is it okay for them to be so close and intimate? Not to mention Gemma wronged Gavin. As a Christian, she should have repented to Gavin and properly broke things off. The story is just not realistic for Christians being persecuted. I told myself I would try one more time. Unfortunately, this is not a book I would recommend.

Soooo interesting!

I personally could hardly wait for this series to all be out on audio. It didn’t disappoint. The author has such a flair for describing that you will literally be able to smell, taste, and so much more! This story is riveting and the characters are literally from all dimensions of life. The audio version makes these books come alive. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

Fantastic Completion

Salvation is Book 3 in the Subversive Trilogy by Raena Rood. This inspirational series is amazing. Christianity is outlawed and the military is arresting and imprisoning all "subversives". The end of book 2 everything is up in the air and in this last book, the author must put everything back together, leave no loose ends, and end an outstanding series with everyone happy! Raena Rood delivers a fabulous book that left me happy and satisfied. I have read and listened to all 3 books. Paige Servi has done an exceptional narration and I believe that her performance brings the book to life.

in God we trust

It was really a good end to a great story, everything works out in the end for those who believe, sometimes we lose everything but we can only carry on and hope for the best, I really enjoyed this story and this characters, for a moment there I thought Gemma was just going into the lions mouth, but it was really God's will and everything worked for the best, really recommend this book

Great read

I so enjoyed the reading of this book. It was inspiring even as it was describing a little bit of the way our world views Christians. Please write more
