Publisher's summary

The only one who escaped... and the one who could destroy them all.

Incarceron, the living prison, has lost one of its inmates to the outside world: Finn’s escaped, only to find that Outside is not at all what he expected. Used to the technologically advanced, if violently harsh, conditions of the prison, Finn is now forced to obey the rules of Protocol, which require all people to live without technology. To Finn, Outside is just a prison of another kind, especially when Claudia, the daughter of the prison’s warden, declares Finn the lost heir to the throne. When another claimant emerges, both Finn’s and Claudia’s very lives hang on Finn convincing the Court of something that even he doesn’t fully believe.

Meanwhile, Finn’s oathbrother Keiro and his friend Attia are still trapped inside Incarceron. They are searching for a magical glove, which legend says Sapphique used to escape. To find it, they must battle the prison itself, because Incarceron wants the glove too.

Sense I was a teenager

I discovered these two books back when I was high school. I still have my softbAcks but now bring 31 it’s hard to sit down and read. Thank you audible for providing a quick easy means to listen to a story I love while handling my daily tasks

Good but not my first pick

I loved the first book so much more then this one. It took me a whole to get through it and I felt I lost some of the characters enthusiasm mid way through it. The narrator was very good

Even A Better Adventure Than The First

What did you love best about Sapphique?

This was a great book! I loved the full throttle suspense and journey the writer creates.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I like Attia! She really grows on you.

What does Kim Mai Guest bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I believe she read the book a 100 times better than I could ever have!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just made me laugh at times! Nothing emotional.

Any additional comments?

This book i just as good as the first one, if not better!

Captivating

At first it was confusing, as I listened it became clearer to understand. Then as it got closer to the end of the story, I realized I was listening to the second book first. From story to performance I loved the book.

Made for a good listen. no spoilers.

I've read this book back when it first came out, and I was just as confused, you'll understand as you listen.
The performance wasn't terrible however there were times I had trouble telling the characters apart from one another, and there were times I just couldn't stay focused on the story.
I'm glad I was able to pick this up regardless though, I've wanted to reread it for years, and I definitely recommend anyone who's interested in it to give it a chance.

Worst book

I hate this book,
The reader was hard to listen to, her different voices for the characters were high pitched and whiney and very annoying
The author also did a terrible job, the plot is very immature and under developed and frankly it's just crap, I read the first book as a kid and wanted to finally finish it and I'm so disappointed, ths book seemed rush with very little character development. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK

Convaluted

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Don't know I felt like it was trying to be the Hunger Games. Incarceron was interesting and the only reason I purchased this was to find out what happened it the end. Nothing happened in the end.

Would you ever listen to anything by Catherine Fisher again?

Probably not unless I saw good reviews about it.

How could the performance have been better?

The story could have been better I didn't like the main characters I like the supporting characters.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Confusions who did she really love?

Any additional comments?

That religious stuff in it was stupid and when the teacher turned into sapphique it was dumb

Not good. Bad plot from beginning to the end. I wanted it to get better but it never did.

Emotionally Unconnected!

I have never read a book where at the end of the series I couldn't have cared less about the characters.
